Fantastic car

Certainly the best vehicle I have ever owned. This car is a real head turner and attracts attention wherever you go. The styling is cool, the ride comfortable and the performance thrilling. The instantaneous torque of an EV makes for a fun and sporty ride from a car than can comfortably fit an entire family.

SUV of the Year

It is clear why the Ioniq 5 was selected as the SUV of the Year. It represents a job well done by the engineers. A few minor tweaks would ma great vehicle even better, in my opinion. Add a rear windshield wiper, wireless Android Auto and Proximity Locking as the key moves away from the vehicle. One safety upgrade and two convenience upgrades which could be transmitted to the vehicles in a firmware upgrade. Just a thought with no pride of authorship. Happy I5er!

Great car but difficult buying experience with dealers.

Dealers unhelpful; most jacked up the price and added unnecessary options. Hard to find things in the manuals and e-controls a bit complicated for the unintiated. Charging stations info limited, unreliable, and charging stations usually hard to use or out of service. Cold weather range much diminished. But a great car generally.

First BEV and I like it so far.

Plenty of room, smooth ride, quiet interior, and no trips to the gas station. Level 2 home charging is great. My family was pleasantly surprised during the test drive of this Ioniq 5. Compared to the Ioniq PHEV we traded in this vehicle is in a different class. Elon would never get my money. Hyundai FTW.

A killer car at a midrange price.

Performance you’d expect from a 6 figure vehicle. Features through the roof and a long range with a smooth ride. Range anxiety is less of a problem with the range availability, even on the LE. The sureness of AWD makes the price of this EV more than worth it.

Exceeded expectations

The ioniq 5 solidifies Hyundai as a quality manufacturer. I can’t find fault with anything on the car. It’s my first electric car and I love driving it. The rear leg room surprised me and the car has high tech, such as assisted driving.

If you are purchasing an EV, the Ioniq 5 will not disappoint. The 2023 Ioniq 5 is our first EV! No doubt that EV's will improve and evolve in the coming years. The Ioniq 5 is a great place to begin as a member of the EV culture.

I really enjoy driving this car

I really enjoy driving this car. It is quiet, responsive, and quite fun to drive. It is still pretty new to me and a lot is to learn about it since it is an EV. Even though the range is pretty good for an EV, more considerations and calculations (planning) have to be done for my daily commutes in regards to how far I can get and when to re-charge the battery. Something I didn't have to worry about so much with the range on my VW Passat Diesel.

Vehicle provides exactly what you want

I have looked extensively at electric vehicle market for many years, wanted to move on from my Tesla Model 3, for many reasons, especially because of car height. I was especially drawn to ID4, but kept returning to Ioniq 5 because it checked every box and continue to feel that way. This is an enjoyable car to drive!

First experience with an electric car and I'm loving it! There will be no going back

This car is a lot of fun to drive! Fast acceleration, smooth ride, great range ,and lots of safety features. I'm using the Smart Park feature a lot more than I ever thought I would. There is tons of room in the front and the back seats for tall people. We put a level 2 charger in our garage and it charges fast. I've not had an issue with going out my daily routine. I waited 9 months, but the car is totally worth it!!

Excellent car overall, great range, very spacious with decent passenger and cargo room, nice ride quality, good user interface with actual buttons and knobs instead of just touchscreen for everything. A few minor tweaks would make this a perfect vehicle.

Excellent all electric!

I switched from a plug-in hybrid to the all electric Ioniq 5 and am delighted. My fear of running out of power was baseless, given this car’s incredible range and recharging while driving. I love it.

Best New Car Ever!

My husband and I are surprised by how much we like this car. I thought it might be hard to learn to drive an EV, but it was easy. The car is responsive and sporty, as well as being very attractive. People are always asking us what kind of car it is. We enjoy not having to buy gas anymore! All in all, we could not be happier with our Ioniq 5!

Just About Everything I Expected

The RWD Ioniq 5 has been just about everything I expected. We purchased it in December, so the cold weather has affected the car's range, which was unexpected. One feature I was sorry to not see is the car does not have a rear windshield wiper. The car is comfortable inside, fairly intuitive. It is quick and easy to handle.

Love my Ioniq 5!

I love my new 2023 Ioniq 5! Quiet, quick, comfortable and looks like a space ship! I get compliments all the time! Very solid and rides like a much bigger vehicle, while handling is quite nimble. Dissappointed that the dealer mark up was $10,000 simply because of the demand and lack of inventory. :(

I love this car!

This crossover is stunning in white! It is solid, quiet, comfortable, responsive, spacious, has great range and cargo room. I really like that the highway driver assist along with cruise control seems to add a serious measure of safety and comfort. It's only 3 weeks old, but seems to meet all of my wishes.

Comfortable, fun electric SUV - Highly Recommended

Purchased the IONIC 5 over the Tesla I had on order for 11 months. Consumer Reports and other head to head comparisons demonstrated the advantages of this vehicle and I completely agree. Great transition from gas to all electric as it is much more like a traditional car as compared with a Tesla which has no buttons or knobs. Fit and finish is very good and its a very comfortable driving car with plenty of power when needed. Charging time is one of the fastest currently. Range is very respectable and with 2 years complimentary Electrify America super charging it is very hard to beat. They have been hard to find but inventory is slowly beginning to increase. Digital Teal is different and eye catching as is the overall design. I would recommend SEL trim or Limited (if you can find one).

THE CAR OF THE YEAR

It's a very stylish and comfortable yet agile car. Hyundai's E-GMP platform has tons of new technologies that makes this car awesome. 1. 350kw charging - very stable and safe when charging common fast charger because it can handle up to 350kw charging. Most chargers are around 60-250kw. It can regenerate at its motors full capacity when braking thanks to its capability to accept up to 350kw. 2. Integrated driving axle - New driving axle gives very good driving experience. It's the technology that won TCR!!! 3. V2L - In case of any natural disaster or black outs, your car can supply electric energy up to 3.5kw. It's a life saver. Thanks to integrated charging control unit, it even handles some industrial tools. I love my new car!
