Charging failure

Its a fun car to drive and looks good, but the most basic thing needed to operate the vehicle fails, and that is the charging. Additionally there is too much reliance on technology and they tried to put in too many features that just seem to fail between software updates.

Range and cargo space

I was surprised by the power of this vehicle, though I almost always drive in Eco mode. The range is great. For me, it's about 345 miles (depending on driving mode and style). The cargo space is what I really appreciate. I mean the rear hatch section not the glove box size space under the hood. I look forward to the day when all charging stations are available to all EV drivers using a standard credit card. Right now I depend on the one in our garage. We also own a gas model car should we travel a very long distance before chargers are easily available and fast.

Sit back, Relax and Enjoy the ride

Great EV for daily commute and long drives. Love HDA and almost perfect lane keep it comes with, very reliable. Could have been better with more reliable and practical digital key functions, but that's just small inconvenience comparing to the long list of conveniences. My daily commute is almost 100 miles, mostly on freeways with some hills, and I love commuting in this car. HDA makes it easier and less stressful drive. You should try it and I bet you will love it too.

It charges so fast!

This is one of the fastest charging EVs you can get. I love it. I also love the look of it and the interior. I get about the advertised range and it really does charge from 10% to 80% in under 20 minutes when using a capable fast charger. Incredible

Fantastic ride, styling, and features

The first thing that drew me to the vehicle was its styling. I ended up selecting this vehicle because I preferred its infotainment system to that of its competitors. The standard range and power met my needs, I would like to see additional features available on the base battery.

Head turner!

Very happy with our Ioniq 5. Range and performance greatly exceed our expectations. High marks from everyone on the very cool styling. The automated driver assists (highway driving assist, parking assist etc.) work great and are easy to use.

Great car!

I saw this car a year ago and really liked it. I didn’t expect to get one based on my budget, but when looking at the whole value of the vehicle, we made the choice to move forward with it. Very glad I did. Comfortable to drive, love the fuel independence and getting much better range than expected.

Too New Alot of Features Not Explored Yet

I wanted the Kona EV but was not available at time, the original Ioniq was a real good car. The Ioniq 5 is more along the lines of a Tesla Y. I like it, but it is not very Efficient . maybe one day Hyundai will have a Car under $30000 that is more along the lines of what the original Ioniq was.

Amazing interior space! Ride quality is very plush and superior to all competitors in its class. Sufficient power from the AWD dual motor version. Wished there is longer range! Amazing charging speed!

Enjoying an EV very much.

I was driving an old Mustang. Needed something safe and economical. .The Ioniq 5 was a perfect choice for a lease. Very safe to drive and so far very dependable. The visibility and the safety features made this an easy choice for us.

Love it so far

I have only had the Ionic5 for about 4 weeks and so far absolutely love it in every way. The AWD version is literally a sports car masqueraded as a family sedan/SUV in terms of performance. The only drawback is not enough public chargers. I have tw near me and each has only 4 chargers. Many times one or two are not even working so its hard to get to charge when you want to. Meanwhile Tesla has a chargers near one of these two and they have 12 chargers and I never ever see more that 6 being used so you can charge literally any time. Not the case with Electrify America. They need to double the number of chargers at each station and double the number of stations. My only two gripes are: 1) The price is still high by about $10,000 and 2) the Range on the AWD should be increased to 350 miles (especially given the lack of sufficient public chargers). Except for these two issues, I am loving the Ionic5 so hopefully this will be a highly reliable vehicle that I keep for 10+ years

I throughly researched the EV market before purchasing my 2023 Ioniq 5, This vehicle is by far the best value for an EV in the $50,000 price range. Much better value, styling, performance and warranty than Tesla, GM or Ford vehicle. I’ve purchased Hyundai vehicles in the past, they build a quality product with an excellent warranty with easily available dealership service. I LOVE this car, it is good looking , it is FUN to drive and a pleasure to sit inside. I get many compliments for this car extremely happy with my purchase.

Great electric suv

The Ionic 5 is a very good all around electric suv. The interior is roomy and comfortable. The tech is plentiful and easy to use. The exterior is stylish and fun. The range is pretty good especially in city driving. I would definitely recommend it.

Finally an electric vehicle that looks electric.

This is a fantastic vehicle and the first electric to LOOK like an electric vehicle. Everything is great about it IMO. Thrilled to finally have a great choice in electric and glad to say goodbye to my Tesla and Bolt.

Too short

This car was declared a total loss 5 weeks after leasing it. Replaced it with a Kia EV6 GT Line. yada yada yada yada yada and more yada yada yada yada. Even more yada yada... Never to be mistaken for a meat loaf.

Great car , comfortable

I love this car , wish that I would get higher mileage. But still great to have free charge for 2 years . I still find myself charging often , would love stations with fast chargers . Still love it and would recommend!

Excellent so far

First electric vehicle. Bought because of good reviews and design. Happy so fat. A few glitches. No rear wiper (honestly didn’t think about this - for $52K you’d think it was included) and no built in garage door opener as far as I can tell. But it drives nicely and charging is no issue. I’d certainly recommend.

Futuristic!

Truly an engineering marvel and a real pleasure to drive. After three weeks I am still becoming familier with all the features this car has to offer. Moving to an EV presents some real challenges, but so far I am in love with this car!!
