Great car

I replaced my leased Kona with the 2025 Ionic 5. Loved the Kone but REALLY love my Ionic 5. Range on electric is great...close to 400 miles if you drive "cautiously." Locations of the amenities is great. Only comment is i wish the storage area under the armrest was a bit deeper but if that be the only issue on this amazing car...got get one today!

Disabled drivers will like this car

i-pedal (one pedal) max setting makes it easier to drive if your feet or legs aren't normal. However why did Hyundai cheap out by removing a handle above the drivers door? It's on the passenger side, so the factory has them.

Ioniq 5 review after 2.5 months

We are loyal to the hyundai brand after coming from a hyundai genesis 2012. we selected a base trim package and i miss some of the amenities offered in my luxury sedan. However, the ride and feel of the car make those features minor footnotes. We chose to lease the car because I am ultimately waiting for the EV sector to provide longer ranges for its fleet. Having installed a car charger with the rebate soon forthcoming made economic sense which makes for the biggest and most obvious perk. It's nice to have a full charge for every morning commute. One minor sidenote is that my windows miss the squeegie cleaning at the gas station. I will need to buy some extra wiper fluid just to keep windows clean.

Great mid-sized EV!

I had a 2023 Ioniq 5 which I really enjoyed driving. The updates to the 2025 model made it too compelling to pass up and I have no regrets about that upgrade. Hyundai listened to consumer feedback and addressed almost every detail that drivers of older Ioniq 5's didn't like.

Love it So Far

Having owned the Hyundai Ionic 5 for a couple months, I absolutely love it. Well built, smooth ride, good range/mileage per charge, comfortable. The only thing I've noticed that might be my expectation and not the car is that the steering seems a little but loose and not very responsive.

My first experience with the 2025 IONIQ 5

Overall. The IONIQ 5 is great. Great features and technology. The only downside is no rear window water washer. The wipers are basically wiping dirt which deteriorates the rubber wipers. Does not make sense not to have a water washer in the rear.

Excellent-Hyundai shouldn't make dumb, range-compromising decisions.

Our first EV. Enjoy the handling and the ride. Car has far more power than any car needs. We drive in Eco mode 90% of the time. Would happily trade 100 HP, 100 Lb-Ft for 30-50 miles additional range. Just beginning to deal with cold weather range which might be a challenge. NACS charge port makes ownership possible. Much as I despise Musk and Tesla, the supercharger network is a game-changer. Would make some changes - smaller wheel, narrower tires. Either not glass roof or a roof that actually opens. Regen force on paddle should be variable. Rear seats are difficult to put down and up. Interior aesthetics of my Mazda CX-9 are much better. But overall a great car.

Great EV Value

The car is solid in most categories, and not lacking much. The MSRP is high, but with incentives quite reasonable, especially the lease deals avail. The only issues I have with the car (it's my 2nd ioniq 5 BTW) is the slow tesla charging, and the terrible verizon wifi hotspot.
