Hyundai Ioniq 9

Ok vehicle to drive. Gets the job done. Still could use a little work with lane keep assist, and the one foot pedal drive is a little irksome with the final braking stage. Cooled seats don’t seem to be as effective, or at least it’s intermittent.

Ioniq 9 -- The secret is out!

The Ioniq 9 may be the best kept secret for a very capable, extremely comfortable/quiet, quality vehicle that does great in the city and is a dream for longer trips (no ride exhaustion)! Outstanding ride comfort, very comfortable heated/ventilated seats in front and 2nd row, outstanding noise isolation, excellent bump absorbing suspension, quality build (interior and exterior), excellent power and acceleration, competent steering, good EV driving range, fast recharge capability with either NACS or CCS chargers, available 3rd row seating, great cargo space, capable towing capability, excellent warranty, and a joy to drive. Hyundai designs and builds for the driver and riders: No gimmicks, no brand hype, no costly extras, just an overall outstanding product from build quality to performance to comfort to aesthetics to service. Best value for price of all vehicles I've researched (and I did a lot of research before selecting the Ioniq 9). Great work, Hyundai!

Roomy and luxurious

My first EV - pleasantly surprise how comfortable, roomy and luxurious this vehicle feels. My grandkids LOVE this car. They don’t feel crammed into their car seats- each with their own captains seats. And they live the split fold down electric 3rd row seats- for climbing in and out of the car. This car has power to spare and rides smooth as butter. Great mileage and NACS plug can charge anywhere with the included adapters. I also get tons of compliments by passers by and also friends who are passengers. Love all of the extras like reclining seats with leg rests, window shades on the second row for the kids, vented and heated seats for front row and middle row, self park, huge panoramic sunroof and awesome stereo system to name a few—oh and I love the 21” tires- this is a great looking car. The Calligraphy is the way to go.

Great car, great value, carries ICCU problem

I have had aamazing time putting 15,000+ miles on this car except 2 weeks where my car had ICCU failure within first 9 months and I am worried that might happen again.

IONIQ 9 with problems

My experience with the IONIQ 9 has been fair so far, but I am encountering a few persistent technical difficulties that I would like to report 1) Driver Attention Warnings: I am receiving repeated, annoying 'Coffee break' warning messages after driving only 1 to 2 miles. 2) Turn Indicators: The left and right indicators frequently fail to switch off automatically after a lane change or a standard turn, forcing me to cancel them manually. 3) Level 2 Charging Speed: I am dissatisfied with the 240V charging capacity limits. The resulting slow charging speeds make the vehicle feel restricted for daily use. Please let me know if these are known software bugs or if there are specific dealership updates available to address them.

Love it with a couple of issues

Rides great! Really wish you could stay in 1 pedal mode. Rear hatch opening is small. Side mirrors could be lArger, note vision.

Good car, Quality control needs work

My 4th Hyundai. I like their cars, and this one is great. But the seat massage button intermittently stops working. And the steering wheel tilt switch stopped working after the car was a week old. It took a month to get a service appointment, and it turned out that both wires to the switch were broken.

Vehicle drives well. Overall a decent EV. Feels bulky like a minivan at times. Can do better with the use of plastic in dashboard. Catches dirt and fingerprint that doesn't go away easily.

2026 Ioniq9 broken out of the dealers lot.

The Bluelink stuff and getting the Hyundai app to work took two trips to a dealer and at a week + each visit wasn’t what I’d expected or wanted…. Even now, the app won’t update correctly which means a call to a “support” phone line and then who knows what. The car is very comfortable and super quiet! The technology is impressive and I like it. We’re planning a 300 mile trip in August and I’m kinda worried that we might have a problem…. Fingers crossed.

Great Car, inconsistent quality, terrible service

Great car: features, range, tech, etc... Unfortunately spoiled by poor build quality and an inability of Hyundai to effectively resolve issues. Paint Defects, Glue Issues, misaligned parts, all have required multiple dealer visits as well as escalation up through Hyundai to get resolution. A major safety issue has gone unresponded to after many months (complete loss of drive power from a weird error in Highway Drive Assist). This car is unsafe.

Almost perfect, small but important bugs

Drive and mileage is terrific. Some bugs with Apple CarPlay. Lingering ICCU issues in the whole EGMP line are less than ideal.
