Palisade 2026

I really like my Hyundai Palisade Hybrid. It is an excellent SUV, and I am very happy with almost everything about it. My only disappointment is the rearview camera and parking detection system. The camera makes objects appear farther away than they actually are, making it difficult to judge distances accurately. Additionally, the system does not detect pedestrians or objects other than vehicles quickly enough, which raises safety concerns when reversing. Aside from these issues, the Palisade has been awesome. It is a fantastic vehicle that I thoroughly enjoy driving.

The car is excellent but the key just dangling next to the key fob and it constantly gets loose I have already lost a key this was a terrible design

Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy HEV Review

Overall, a nice vehicle for the price. After living with it for several months, a few things we don't like came out. The front seats are very uncomfortable on longer drives. The auto function on the windshield wipers doesn't seem to work at low speeds, so we have to use the single-wipe function on the stalk. The lane-keep assist tried to aggressively turn into a turning lane; this is especially concerning when the turning lane turns left against head-on traffic.

The care looks great, but I might have shopped around a bit more

The Palisade is undeniably a beautiful vehicle, and there’s a lot about it that I genuinely appreciate. The exterior styling is sharp and refined, and the interior is comfortable, well‑appointed, and thoughtfully laid out. It’s a vehicle that makes a strong first impression. That said, if I had the chance to make the decision again, I’m not entirely sure I would purchase it. There are a few areas where the ownership experience hasn’t matched my expectations. At times, the acceleration feels sluggish, especially when merging or trying to pick up speed quickly. It’s not a deal‑breaker, but it’s noticeable enough to affect day‑to‑day driving. The safety features during low‑speed maneuvers have also been a challenge. When backing out of parking spaces or my garage, the system can be overly aggressive, abruptly applying the brakes even when there’s no clear obstacle. It’s startling and creates the sensation that the vehicle has collided with something. What makes it more frustrating is that it happens intermittently, so it’s difficult to anticipate or adjust for. Overall, while the Palisade has many strengths, these issues have made me question whether it would be my choice a second time.
