Comfortable, Efficient, and Surprisingly Refined

I recently purchased a 2026 Hyundai Palisade Hybrid Calligraphy AWD and have been genuinely impressed with the overall experience so far. The biggest standout is the balance between comfort, performance and fuel efficiency. The hybrid system delivers strong mileage for a full size SUV without feeling underpowered. It drives smooth, quiet and confident on both local roads and longer highway trips. Interior comfort was also important to me. I am 6’4 and around 350 pounds and I fit comfortably with plenty of room. The seating, visibility and overall layout make long drives easy and less fatiguing. The technology and features feel premium without becoming overly complicated. The vehicle has a refined feel that honestly exceeded my expectations for the price point. Another factor that gave me confidence was Hyundai’s factory warranty coverage. It helped make the purchase feel practical long term, not just exciting at the dealership. The only thing I would mention is that the purchase process can move quickly, so it is worth taking time to review financing, warranty and coverage options carefully before making final decisions. Overall, the Palisade Hybrid has been a strong combination of practicality, efficiency, comfort and value. I would absolutely recommend it to someone looking for a capable family SUV that still feels refined and enjoyable to drive. Definitely Dom, my son, approved!

Good looking interior - Over engineered tech

Fell in love with the look of the interior. Use the vehicle for more than a week and you'll be annoyed at how over-engineered it is. I compare it to my Tesla Y which just works. Everything in this vehicle seems like it needs approval or will give you alerts for absolutely everything. The tech in this vehicle really gets in the way more than it helps. There's too many buttons and too much going on to even enjoy the experience. On top of the open recall that can literally fold my kid in half...

Give me manual folding seats and it would be perfect.

Calligraphy hybrid, love almost everything about this car. I absolutely cannot stand the electric folding seats. They are confusing and time consuming when they work. Gas mileage on eco mode averages 26.

Too many recalls in the 5 months i owned this vehicle

Recalls are a pain to address, but when it puts passengers and bodily harm, if not addressed and fixed, that’s another level of frustration. Had I known that this vehicle was unsafe to have passengers sit in the seats I never would have bought it. I bought it the last day of the year, which I thought was a very late time for them to discover the faulty automatic car seat issue I brought in my vehicle it got addressed and then two months later there’s another recall on the third row restraint system.

The only reason why it’s not five star

I am still loving my car so much! I’m only a couple months in, but it’s fantastic. The only reason why it’s not five star is because of the seat recline update and recall. My Hyundai dealership is an hour away so that’s a little bit difficult along with the driver touchscreen to put the seats down was a bummer that it changed. But I understand why.

Beware!! There is a BIG problem!!

We purchased our 2026 Hyundai Palisade Hybrid in January 2026. It has less than 600 miles on it. It has stranded us twice so far with a dead battery. Hyundai hasn’t identified the root cause and so we fully expect this to happen again in the near future. It’s been a very poor ownership experience so far.

The car is delivering what I expected. There are only minor things that could be improved, such as the sensitivity of the door handle for the keyless opening and the fact that the last door to be closed needs to be slammed

Comfortable car with great potential; reliability remains to be seen

Very comfortable car to drive with a huge amount of safety features. There have been three recalls within my first four months of ownership, so reliability remains an open question.

Great vehicle. My older one was just as good though!

Really great vehicle for the money. We have had a couple problems with this new hybrid though. We had a 24 Palisade that held the road better on the driving assist feature. Also the phone charger is very slow! If using navigation on the phone it drains faster than it charges. It does not get any better fuel mileage than my last car either, though the dealer said it could get so much better. Lastly the remote key is awesome, except that it managed to totally drain my battery in 3 days. Out of the blue after 4 months it suddenly killed it and the car was totally unresponsive. Now on to the good. It is very fast and smooth. It can go from 0-75 in no time. Passing is very nice with it. I love how it drives. And I love the open space between the front seats for ease of access. The seats are comfortable and the adjustments are great. The eyes on road feature is irritating though. My husband often stretches his arm on longer drives across the wheel for release tension on his neck which blocks the sensor and it tries to stop the vehicle. There should be an off switch when this is not desired. Overall I would rate this a 9.5 /10. Wonderful car for the value.
