Very Average Truck
At 102,000 miles I have had several issues that Nissan should have easily fixed as warranty but failed to find any form of customer service worth their time. At 35,000 miles their was a voluntary recall on the fuel pump which had a faulty chip leaving the fuel gauge useless. Even though they knew it was faulty they tried to charge me $465.00 and a wasted day off of work after taking off just for them to deny the claim. After raising total hell in waiting room with the manager he agree to call corporate to get resolution. Two days later they agree to replace it as a warranty. At 65,000 there was a radiator recall as the internal coolant lines were corroding and allowing transmission fluid to enter engine coolant system and transmission resulting in possible transmission failure. Again, Nissan states it was voluntary and I would have to purchase new radiator out of pocket due to truck being out of warranty. They then argued that I should replace it with the same Factory Nissan radiator that had proven failure rates. I choose to use an after market brand with external transmission line cooler to avoid any issues later on. I am now at 102,000 miles and have every intention to drive this thing till the wheels fall off. Gas milage sucks compared to my Honda Ridgeline which is much bigger, heavier and a 4 wheeled dive.
