No bells and whistles (yay!), REALLY poor gas mileage (boo!)

For the price, you won't beat this truck. It is sturdy, well constructed and I expect it to last a long time. It has none of the safety bells and whistles (lane change, blind side, etc) that my wife's new car has, but that's fine with me. It has enough new features including navigation that I need to make my trips comfy and convenient. I have the 5' bed model - will hold a bicycle if you fold it just right! Here's a trick: for $60 bucks I got a steel "extention" that plugs into the hitch receiver and extends the bed for hauling longer lumber. Handy. Here's the negative: The backup camera beeps when you're too close to something, but it is extraordinarly nervous and beeps at just about everything - it DOES have a switch to turn it off. The only negative that I really DO care about is the atrocious gas mileage. I'm talking about 1970's big-block Ford gas mileage - maybe 15 MPG or so around town. It has adequate power, but the engine isn't all that big, it has all the 21st Century computer control stuff, fuel injection and all that, but the mileage just doesn't stack up. Go figure. Summary, I love the truck - comfy, quiet and plenty of towing power (small boat) - I don't love burning so much fuel.

2019 Nissan Frontier purchased used

My older Nissan Frontier 2005 with 310,000 miles gave me such great service over the years. When I spotted this newer 2019 with only 30,000 miles on it it was pretty much a no brainer! New the brand reputation, love the get up and go when needed in the 4 liter V 6. Towing package and was quickly put to the test. Tows very well. This one came with a Toneau cover which is great! (I always wanted to do this on previous truck). Comfortable ride. Great mid size pickup 5 foot truck bed. Looking forward to getting many years good use and service out of this newer one also. The only thing I had to do to it was take out the bed liner and had it Line-X(ed). I have come to learn bed liners even after only two years use wears out the finish coat on the truck bed. I also installed a "Utili-track bed rail system. Old truck had it and came in handy for tie downs, bike racks (Rocky Mounts) and Bedextender gate.

Nice but disappointed

The truck is nice but the fuel usage is very disappointed! The mileage is it any different from a full sized truck? I have the bed extension and it’s difficult to find parts for! I had the knobs stolen and could find replacement?

Great entry level truck

I'm happy that Nissan makes an entry level pickup. I wanted a 6 foot bed, and don't need it to double as a family transport. Two front seats and a small back cab are perfect. With the low gas mileage, I would hope for more power from the 4-cylinder. But thankfully, Nissan still provides a manual transmission in the base models, where others make you pay-up for sport packages.
