Trouble shooting masters!
I brought my high mileage CRV to John and his team to figure out what was going on. I had my CRV at another shop in town that I’ve used for a few years now that recently had a change in management. While I trusted them, the last two visited yielded different results than before. They fixed a routine drivetrain issue and it resulted in a vibration while driving between 50 and 60 mph. Weird. I brought it back to them twice to look at it to figure out what was going on, but resulted in. I change. After asking around, J.A.R. Came up as an option and trusted shop by a friend of mine. I went over last Friday and John test drive it and he gave me two possible root causes. I scheduled time for him to take a deeper dive and within an hour he and his team found the issue. With a high mileage car(that I love and don’t have a payment on) it’s easy for a shop to not have the same affinity to figure it out rather than just say-we’ll, you’ve got over 200k miles on it, it’s just old.... I don’t agree with that because I’ve maintained this car and it has always been reliable and did I mention I live it! Well, now I have a shop that I know loves it also and will give it the same care and consideration without prejudice about its age. Trust these guys will take care of you fairly and are going to treat your car as if it were their own. They earned all of my auto repair business. Sorry dealership-my wife’s pilot has a new mechanic!
