My concern over the best two of four tires to be put on the front axles during tire rotation has been satisfied. Rod had me pick the tires to be put on the front of my car and I am impressed by his and Bernard's concern over my satisfaction. Great customer service shown! Thanks!
"Didn't really get what I asked for!"
I brought my 2011 Subaru in for tire rotation. I have two original tires (date code 2310) and two somewhat newer tires (date codes 1811 and 3811), all of which are almost ready to be replaced. I have 65, 180 miles on this car, bought in 2010. I asked for the best tires, based on tread wear and assuming the two slightly newer ones, to be put on the front axles. Not what happened! I believe I had a standard tire rotation on my car, as I have an older tire on the right front and left rear. Used to be on the left front and right rear. I should mention that all the tires have good tread, some wear on the inside, but not yet on the wear bars. The tires were spin balanced at Cook's. There are no cracks on the sidewalls. These tires have more life in them, maybe 5,000 miles for the type of driving I do now. I think if they had been rotated as I asked, I might get that mileage! I still might even so.
