I had been negotiating for a few days with a “sales manager” (and I use the term loosely) for a few days named John Carlin and also another master of deception named Manny.
Finally on the last day of the month 9/30/2020 we struck a deal on a 2020 Kia Sorento in white.
I asked about an incentive that my original salesman named Mike had emailed me. John then told me he would ask and call me back in 5 minutes.
Well 5 minutes turned into hours. I figured ok…last day of the month they are busy and would call me back the next day. That never happened.
What happened was they sold the car out from under me to a “higher bidder”.
This group of so called “professionals” didn’t even have the common courtesy to call me. It’s obvious money is first at this place and customers a VERY distant second!
I called corporate in California who were useless. They would not even tell me who the regional manager was. To me that was a vote condoning this nonsense.
When corporate didn’t help one iota I figured god forbid I have any issues with the car I’m screwed! After being a long time Kia customer having bought or leased 6 cars this soured me on the brand.
I will no longer EVER buy another KIA product.
This is 2020 and it just proves the shams, deceptions and lies are still going on and Deland Kia is in the forefront.
P.S.
I bought a beautiful 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan with only 115 miles…bye KIA!
P.P.S
My wife recently turned in her Sorento lease and bought the Dodge instead. When you return a lease there is a $400 fee if you don’t buy or lease. Two months later a letter came in the mail charging her a total of $2000!
Nothing was wrong with the vehicle but they padded the lease return an additional $1600. Please don’t buy Kia from anyone!
