Discount Tire Ionia gave me a price of a set of 4 tires for my car over the phone. When I went to the shop I confirmed with same employee the brand/style of ties and OTD price, same as he gave me over the phone. I asked if they offered any military veteran's discounts. He said he would do something yes. When I picked up my car, the total (given to me by shop owner) was much higher, she did get the price down to what their employee stated *however that employee since has lied about the price*. Owner would not honor the veteran's discount promised me, employee told owner it would be -$20 from my bill. I paid n left. Got home to realize they put sport tires on my car instead off the all season radials I shopped around for and picked Discount. These tires are $26 less per tire than the ones I got the original price for. They suck on wet pavement!!! Discount would not refund me in any way, said my old tires were probably put on a semi the next day, only way I can get the original all season radials on is by paying additional $68. There are 2 other local tire shops that sell them for less, but Discount would not budge on the price nor honor the $20 said Veterans discount so I will never go to their shop again, as I told the owner before I hung up. This is ridiculous, I had priced all tire sets, written everything down including their employee's name (but that didn't matter to owner). Never trust them...get any prices of tires PRINTED OFF THEIR COMPUTER AS PROOF. Employee mistake, not mine, but I'm get less than I paid for, I didn't need nor want sport tires!! These also have less miles on the warranty than the ones they were supposed to put on. I should've went to a different shop altogether.
