No way, no how
My wife ran out of gas which caused some problem with some part that had to be replaced. They had to disassemble the entire AC system to get to the problem and that took a lot of time (which is what Scott at the front desk told me), which cost me over $1100 with the extra labor. However, the wife loves the piece of junk and it's better than getting a new car with payments, so I had it fixed. When we got the car back, the AC no longer worked so I took it back in and all of sudden, the compressor was bad. The AC was working fine before we took it in and I told them so, without success. Cost to fix something that was working fine? $650. So they had to take apart the entire AC, but somehow that wasn't the issue. Now I've spent over $2000 with this shop in the last year, but when I nicely said I didn't want to have it fixed, Scott seemed like he was angry with me. Angry with me because I smelled a rat? I guess. Took it to another shop in town to look at it and it will cost me $120 to get it fixed. We're nearing the end of summer so I'll wait until next year to get it fixed (the wife doesn't care), but this place just lost the perfect customer; one who buys old cheap cars which always need work.
