My dad bought a 2012 Kia Soul from Kia Fishers. I have no complaints about the vehichle, It's a solid vehichle and only had 91K miles on it. The list price of $8K was at the higher end of the Blue Book value, but a decent price for a solid car. My 68 year old father found the car online, went and test drove it, and liked it. Sat down to do the paperwork and the $8K car ended up being a $11K final cost. They added an appereance warranty for $1500K, wheel locks for $400, and Door protectors for $400. I went with my dad to pick up the car (which at this point he already paid cash for), and questioned those items, and they stated he didn't have a choice they were just added. I talked to Sales Manager and he stated that was the only way he could approve the sale of the car. You can get the wheel locks for less than $50 on Amazon, and same with the door protector (just rubber tape). He stated the car needed work and this was the only way to do the sale. Otherwise he wouldn't have approved the sale. They told me my dad was a grown adult and he signed the papers. 20 years ago, sure my dad would question it. Beware of the add ons, make sure you are reading every paper they put in front of you, and you understand every penny being added to the cost.
