Mostly good, but with some engine oil leak problems

From my prospective, this was the most hansom Cadilac sedan that has been produced. It is comfortable, has good mileage (around 22mpg on the highway). So far I have gotten 175K miles out of it, (with appropriate maintenance), and my only complaint is about engine oil leakage, which cannot be completely stopped without removing the engine and machining the crankcase, super expensive!

Engine will only last 70k-110k miles

Rides great however Cadillac produced the engine for over 20yrs knowing the head bolts strip causing gasket failure resulting in a blown motor. I find it absolutely ridiculous for a car that costs $50k+ new. I highly recommend a Lincoln if you want a reliable luxury sedan.

2008 DTS

Great automobile but the Northstar engine has issues but I wouldn’t trade it for a new XTS. The DTS is roomy, comfortable...smooth ride, it has all the bells and whistles. Roomy trunk space, comfortable rear seating, excellent sound system even though it is not a Bose.

Good solid car

After 160k miles the only repairs ive made have been maintenance items. Shocks, brakes etc... very reliable. Recently let it sit for 6 months. It started up and drove with no problems. Comfortable ride if you like a soft floating ride. Plenty of power. In the family since new.

Very comfortable, powerful and a dream to drive. Always feel safe. Good mileage and minimum, but regular annual service. Why say more? A fine automobile. With a car wash it looks like new. Love it! Still get complements ?????

Great traveling car.

Long trips are a breeze in this Cadillac. It’s been across the country three times and always comfortable. The trunk will hold all the suitcases with room to spare.

2009 DTS CADILLAC

I love this car. It drives great. I love the instant power when I take off from a stoplight. It is so comfortable, just like sitting in my living room. It drives great!

2009 DTS CADILLAC

This is a great car. It's so comfortable and easy to drive. I love everything about it. It's a nice, attractive car. Good mileage.

2008 CADILLAC DTS - PERFORMANCE PACKAGE HAS BEEN AN ADVENTURE.

LIKE ALL GOOD THINGS - THEY MUST COME TO AN END. WHEN A CADILLAC REACHES A 60,000 MILESTONE, IT'S TIME TO TURN THE KEYS OVER, TO ANOTHER OWNER. MY DTS HAS BEEN A VERY GOOD, DEPENDABLE CAR IN THE PAST, BUT I CAN NOT EXPECT THAT TO CONTINUE, AS IT GETS OLDER. SO; GOOD BYE OL' FRIEND - I HOPE YOUR NEXT OWNER, HAS MANY MORE MILES, OF DRIVING PLEASURE.
