Good car, could be better

Most of the Tech works well. Self parking is trash, more gimmick than substance. When the weather is bellow 65deg the battery charge is very slow even when you condition the battery. The car should lock down when you walk away;it does not. Sadly the depreciation is insane

Excellent car. Genesis Intelligent app, not so good

I have had the car for two years. Very reliable. Well finished. A true luxury car compared to the Tesla Model 3 which I had. The navigation is terrible. Use google maps. (Car play) The genesis intelligent app, useful for connecting to chargers, does not work. I selected all chargers the listed. It connects, says charger sent a message, then disconnects. I called customer support as I wa at a Tesla supercharger and really needed a charger. I was told that the only way to use the Tesla charging network is to download the Tesla app. :( My one issue is the trunk is tiny, and despite not having any engine up front, there is no storage under the hood.

Great luxury EV if you are ok with the compromises they had to make

I bought this car as a CPO; it was a dealer loaner with 3200 miles. At the price I paid (which is consistent with used prices for it), it was an incredible value; however it would have made no sense to buy it new at $82k (I'm sure most new purchases were leases anyway). Its my third Genesis/G80 in row and in many ways it's the best of them as the EV helps eliminate many of the limitations in the ICE platform. That said, it is also an obviously retrofitted car which comes with compromises; less headroom and 2nd row legroom/small trunk, etc. In particular it struggles in turns at speed or under hard braking. That said, for how I use it (luxury cruise for commuting to work or around town), it's perfect for what it is. And the massive depreciation hit they received upfront makes them compelling bargains, particularly if you get a CPO warranty. Realistically, I likely won't own past CPO warranty period and I'm expecting little resale value at that point, but I'll still consider it to have been a good used car purchase if I get a solid 4-5 years out of it given what I paid and the features it brings.

Good car but not what i expected in technology

I bought my 2023 Genesis G80 Electrified with high hopes, particularly for its promised blend of luxury and cutting-edge technology. While the car's design, performance, and ride quality are truly impressive, the infotainment system is a significant letdown that tarnishes the ownership experience. The most frustrating issue is the lack of basic, elemental features and the slow pace of software updates. It's perplexing that a vehicle at this level would miss the mark on such fundamental user experience details: SiriusXM Station Prioritization: The inability to set favorite or prioritize SiriusXM stations is a major flaw. In other vehicles, this is a standard feature that allows for a seamless listening experience. Instead, I'm forced to scroll through the entire list of stations every time, which is both distracting and unnecessary. Driver Seat Controls: The infotainment system provides controls for the front passenger seat, but not for the driver's seat. This is not only inconsistent but also a missed opportunity for a more convenient and modern user interface. I've been told by customer care that the feature simply isn't there, which is disappointing for a car in this class. I've spent a considerable amount of time on the phone with customer care, and while they acknowledge these features should be standard, they have been unable to provide a solution or timeline for a fix. This lack of support and the seemingly non-existent software update pipeline are alarming for a luxury brand that markets itself on technology and innovation. Genesis has built an exceptional vehicle, but the current state of its infotainment system makes it feel incomplete. I urge the engineering and software teams to prioritize and implement these essential updates to truly deliver on the promise of a modern luxury experience. Until then, this car falls short of its technological potential.

Love to drive this car!!

The ride is very smooth and quiet. The inside of the car is slick, and there's a lot of features that are all well integrated into the display so it's not distracting while I drive.

I've had a CPO car for four months now, which was purchased remotely based on the fact the car was CPO. In that time I've had four thousand dollars of expenditures related to fraudulent misrepresentation of the car which had been in an accident as well as being used by a smoker and not disclosed as well as being far below the reasonable expectation of a CPO car condition. The paint had numerous scratches and dings, a fender that rubbed the door with missing paint, a front skid plate that fell off on the first drive, and now tires that are failing with two flats and one sidewall failure, all in the short span of time. I've also found that my local Genesis dealers are difficult to reach, don't often have loaner cars, and require an inordinate amount of time to acquire parts. Genesis National (US) however has been a life saver and very helpful.

Love everything about my G80 Electrified!

This is my 3rd Genesis and the best. The ride is smooth, powerful and luxurious. The performance is excellent as well and other than a few firmware updates, no issues.

Great car. Fun to drive. Comfortable. Peppy. Issues are 1- intermittent home screen does not work. Dealer can't find problem. 2- bright light control on srearing column does not work. Oterwise the car and dealership are great.
