Great looking car. Horrible durability

Had the car for one year. Roof leaks need new tires the low engine oil light came on twice prior to oil changes. There is a ton of road noise with the sunroof at high speeds. The sensors go crazy when you pull up to a vehicle at a stop sign or stop light.

Worst Experience

I bought a brand new GV80 with full cash. But there was no car mats & cargo mat. I've been asking for that from the day I bought my car. It's been more than a month, but now I still don't receive it yet. Am I asking for more than I deserve? I paid full cash and bought a brand new car. It's been more than a month, but I still don't receive it yet. If I were the general manager, I would deliver in person.

horrible experience

this survey is too long! In a nutshell... the vehicle is the worst car I've ever owned and I sold it 4 months after I purchased. Dealers have no technical training. This cars is engineering is a joke. You should look closely at Mercedes, Lexus, etc for advise.

Poor customer service

Calls are not returned promptly or ignored. They seem to be aware of the phone situation for the past year at least, but have made no attempt to rectify the issue. I left multiple messages and nobody returned calls. I was challenged by a service manager regarding the type of message I left, sales people not responsive. Etc.

Waiting on battery for 5 weeks plus

Responsiveness from corporate is non existent Towing took 4 days with 3 trucks before at actually got towed Waiting for a new battery. Dealer is sympathetic, provided a like kind loaner car. Has no idea when a replacement battery will be available Totally unacceptable

Genesis GV80 2023

Only 18 mpg in mixed driving. Poor purchase experience. For 5 of 10 months new car had software issues. Too long to resolve. Do not expect a Lexus or Audi experience from a Hyundai dealer . Car itself is styled very nicely and drives well. There is simply too many negatives to offset that.

Poor Dealership Experiecnce and Dirty Interiors

I did not like dealership experience, dirty interiors and ripped seat. I feel dissatisfied. I wish I would have bought it from a good dealer or possibly a different vehicle. It is not worth the price I paid for the car. I expect better service. Please do something.

Very Disappointing

During the first month of ownership of a 2023 Genesis GV-80 Prestige, I had to request assistance from Genesis Connected Services three times to reboot the modem. Without the modem, the navigation system does not properly function and I have had to use Apple Car Play. Additionally, I loved the appearance of the front of the car until I realized that there is no way to mount the front license plate without attaching it to the grille. Did the engineers not think of this, or just not care?

Terrible comfort for other than a 15 minute ride

This vehicle has been a huge let down for us. It is built nicely and has many safety and other features. The problem is that the seat is so uncomfortable that we can't go for a ride more than 10-15 minutes without legs aching. Without comfort, what is the use of having it?

Hasn’t been what I expected. The continued issues with my door and not having my vehicle is causing an inconvenience and I am still having to pay this monthly and no car and no idea of how long this will take or if when I get the car back fixed it works. My warranty has expired so who will be responsible for the cost going forward.

Poor service with dealerships, great vehicle otherwise

Great vehicle. However, good luck with the dealers if you need any kind of service. Concierge service is a joke. Valet availability is months away in my area if you need service with valet. My dealer had no clue what my issue was. They returned the vehicle without fixing the issue and went MIA when trying to reach out multiple times.

Not worth the money

A lot of tech features are poorly implemented which prevents this from being a true luxury player. The massage is weak, the premium speakers are OK, the cameras don't work as advertised, the smart parking assist rarely works, the driving assists barely actually assist and need a lot of human input. I would not recommend this car.

Due to mechanical issues that have arisen, low rating

The overall exterior look of the vehicle is great, the interior is good but for the cost should be better. It is the engine cutting off while driving that is a major concern. I have owned the vehicle for one year and this issue began after my first service in August of 2023. I see on the genesis forum that I am not the only one having this issue but there are no resolutions. Prior to this happening there have been minor issue that I attribute to purchasing a 2.5 T, like turbo lag when accelerating.

Great car but Connected Services doesn't Connect

We love the Genesis. I'd give this a 10 out of 10. Except that Connected Services continually stops connecting. Dealer can't fix it and tells me to complain to Genesis because they are seeing it alot. When we bought this, with no spare tire, once of the safety factors was that my wife could hit the SOS button and get assistance. But how can I feel comfortable when we have no idea when SOS / tracking stops working every day?

Think Twice Buying from Genesis of Roseville Ca.

Better think twice buying GENESIS GV80. They lied to us last year. They said they do valet service. They were a NO SHOW ON NOV1st 2023. WE TRIED TO CONTACT THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT MANAGER MIKE BENCH, NO RESPONSE! Tried to contact dealership manager NO RESPONSE. Just BEWARE FOLKS!

Not up to expectations!

My Genesis was HIGHLY Rated by every reviewer; but unsatisfactory voice interface, multiple mobile phone connectivity, inconsistent Nav screen, and poor fuel mileage damaged that reputation. When I found a flat tire on my way to a meeting, my wife had to resolve the problem, which made her talk with AAA unsuccessfully without a spare. She finally had to wait for AAA to tow it to the dealership to replace the damaged tire with a "sawsall" blade impeded in it. This is all weather, all terrain, SUV! I can't imaging it having NOTHING for a physical spare. What if we were in the middle of the Blue Ridge Mountains far away from any Genesis dealership! We've owned 26 Mercedes over the past 52 years, and EVERY ONE had at lease a "donut" for a spare. ONLY my Porsche's have had nothing for a spare tire. To add insult to injury, the best Trade In Offer we've been able to generate is $20,000 less than our purchase price!

GV80 3.5 Prestige... Boy, that sounds great... And it is in some ways. The looks, the stance, engine performance, absolutely fantastic sound system are great.. The rest, however, will take a book to write regarding real life experience vs expectations

2023 gv80 with 20k miles

Love driving the vehicle when it works fine. With all the electrical/sensor issues it gives me a headache. Have to go around dealership to identify the issue. They have not been able to resolve 90% of my identified issues. Listed are the issues 1) front proximity sensor, beeps randomly even when there is no obstruction or vehicle. I have video proofs of this issue. I noticed it in the first month of owning the vehicle. 2) front collision sensor is the same. Beeps randomly and is nonfunctional after the inspection 26th Apr, 2024. 3) driver seat does not return to pre-set position after entry. I have a video proof of this issue. If "A" is the original position. When we exit the vehicle the seat retracts to "B". On re-entry when we open the door, the seat moves to position "C" on closing the seat returns to "B". I have to click my seat memory to get to "A". Noticed within 4 months of ownership. Errors below are after the inspection performed on 26 Apr 2024. 4) head lights not working 5) turn signals not working 6) lane keep assist not working 7) lane follow not working 8) front collision not working 9) high beam assist not working 10) driver attention warning not working 11) check speed limit system not working 12) auto wiper not working

Engine reliability issues..... Delays as well.....

Began ordered a 2021 GV80 Advanced.... However due to pandemic related issues it pushed back and eventually after about a 9 months of waiting, was able to get a 2023 GV80. 2023 has removed the HDA II features completely. Which I expect no chance in the future to get it back. When I took delivery of vehicle and drove it. I experienced so far 3 engine warning lights. All 3 times was the same code P00C4, I did take it to my dealer all 3 times and they did their best to resolve it and attempt to fix it. I say attempt because of the time I am writing this review, I only had this GV80 back for only 4 days. Typically once it hits about a week or so the light will come back up. So as of right now I am on edge and not confident on whether or not the engine warning light will come on again. The transmission is also a bit of an issue when performing light acceleration. It constantly searches for the correct gear (jerks a bit) then finally finds it. Overall, I love the usability, exterior design and interior design, the choice of colors. However the engine/transmission performance and reliability is the biggest detraction of the minus 2 stars. Otherwise if I didn't experience any of the issues, I would've given this rating a 5/5.

Takes off sluggish, digital key feature does not work, tire trim is not that great nor HD radio or charging pad; but overall look of vehicle is pretty. I believe I did not do enough research because I don’t love the vehicle like I did my JAG. Customer Service is not at all quality that I am use to with my Other vehicles.
