Electric is the future!

The Kona EV is an amazing vehicle all around. It is an amazing value and feels like a luxury car for half the price. The acceleration of the electric motor is incredible. I look for excuses to take it out for a drive because it is the most fun car I have ever driven!

Love it! 1st Eletric car, and we are not going back. Fun to drive and great value as compared with other electric cars available. Great range close to 300 miles allows peace of mind and we don't need to charge every night.

First electric vehicle!

This is my first electric vehicle, but it wasn't my first choice. I was about to close on a 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV but when the battery recall made it so the dealer couldn't sell me the vehicle, it was back to the drawing board. In hindsight, I regret not giving Hyundai a closer look. They are taking vehicle electrification more seriously than most other manufacturers, and it shows in the quality of their vehicles. I fell in love with the Kona EV after the first test drive...and solidified it in a second. The offers/incentives put the Limited trim model well within my budget, and it comes with tons of features I didn't have in my previous vehicle. So far I've been getting more than 260 miles per full charge, and even plugging into a standard outlet overnight is more than enough to regain my usage from an average day of driving. If you're on the fence about going electric and want something that's a good deal, go with the Kona EV!

The best electric car you can buy for the money

This car has nearly everything you could want in a car, it is quiet, comfortable, & electric! I have already recommended this vehicle to many of my family and friends and everyone who has been in it loves all of the features and design!

Peppy, comfy

We spent over a year researching EVs. After reading several reviews, we settled on the Kona. So glad we did. It’s responsive, comfortable…very happy with our choice so far, 3 months in. It’s loaded with tech features, which should be explained and demonstrated by dealership prior to taking possession.

Great car

Love this car It has great pick up as would be expected with an electric vehicle. I wish a real navigation system would be offered as a stand alone upgrade. I live the fact that I don’t have to scrunch down to get in & out.

Fantastically fun and efficient car

I had been setting my eyes on the Kona EV since it first came out, and after driving it for 3 months, not only did it not disappoint, it keeps growing on me. I love how quickly and smoothly it accelerates and how zippy it is around town and highways. Handling is quite confident with accurate, nicely weighted steering; ride is firm but never harsh. Noises are manageable as well, but most importantly, it has zero direct emission: I no longer feel guilty sitting idly on bumper-to-bumper traffic.

Great car

I love this car. Electric is the way to go. Easy to charge. Cheap to run. Accelerates like a rabbit and fun to drive. Small seats in the rear so probably not great for big kids but no problem for me. Loads of fun

Great fun little car

I prefer the exterior styling of the 2022 model, but it wasn’t available when I needed a car. This car is fast and comfortable and all the interior controls are right where I expected them. It’s also a great value.

I can give back because you gave me a good car.

Look at the colors on the road. Silver isn’t a color. There’s black, light gray dark gray, charcoal … I’m getting depressed just listing ‘em. I had to choose white. I’ll go to the wrecking yard and get a rim and a spare tire so I don’t get stuck in the middle of Nevada. EV cars are expensive because of the batteries. The Audis, Teslas & BMWs are too expensive. The Chevy Bolt had cheap interior. The KIA Niro is OK. I settled on the Hyundai Kona EV because my wife liked the design. Hyundai gave us $10,000 off MSRP (lease) and with the federal and state rebates it was $30,000 out the door. I’ve only driven it for a few months but I like everything about it. Not much maintenance. Consumer Reports gives it an 8 (out of 10) on reliability. Once you drive an EV car you can’t go back to horse and wagon. It’s quick off the line and nimble on the road. Plus, the Jeeps and pickups with the wide knobby tires who are giving the finger to the tree huggers? … I’m across the intersection before they can even bark. What are they gonna do when there’s no more gas stations? These guys are always traveling up hill.

Electric Kona is good!

The Kona has a peppy, smooth ride. The electric Kona is upgrade to the gas model with noticeably more torque and responsive driving. Acceleration and deceleration are extremely smooth. It has excellent driving range and is easy to charge.

I believe I can fly ??

This is my first EV. I love it. I have been wanting to have an EV for long time. I finally decide to have the Solar system at my home and it’s time to get an EV. I don’t like the look and the interior of Tesla. I am not a gamer and I don’t like driving a car like playing a game. It’s too dangerous. I looked at the other EV , it’s like a toy too small and too expensive. I am a golfer and Kona EV is a bit small but it’s doable for now. I am waiting for Tuscon EV coming out for the next 3 years.

Great car

This is the second Kona EV that we leased. That fact says that we like the car enough to continue to enjoy it. I would recommend it as the best overall ev package on the market. The only annoyance is a lack of a light in the glove box.

Fun car that's smart!

I really love my KONA electric. It's smart as the dickens and super easy to understand. It's agile, completely fun to drive and has a great range. I consistently get more mileage than the posted average. Very happy with my purchase.

I love my Kona 100% Electric Car

I just plug it into my regular outlet to charge it. This is somewhat slow, but I don't drive the car everyday anyway. If I want faster charging, I plug it into my electric dryer outlet to charge it overnight.

The car has a smooth ride, pick up is very good and not a problem getting on the highway. Definitely need a Level 2 charger at home as anything less would not be adequate. The sensors that keep you in lane are excellent

Great car

I've had many very good cars. 3 BMW 5-series, 2 Volvos, 3 Hondas, etc. but this is a truly interesting and excellent car to drive and feel good about driving. The published range is 250 miles per charge but in good weather 300 miles is likely. I do not have a high speed charger at home but just plug into a 110v outlet. There are high speed chargers free to the public within 1/2 mile of my house. We mostly use the car around town but my wife took it on a 180 mile round-trip. When she returned she still had another 90 miles available. When we travel more that a few hundred miles, we either fly, take a train or perhaps will just rent a car short term.

What a GREAT car

I was hesitant at getting an electric vehicle but I am SO GLAD I took the plunge and bought one. Not having to go to the gas station, wait in line, get out to pay and ALL the other things about that I don't have anymore. Gas prices are going thru the roof and my car costs me about 15 bucks in electricity each month. I charge is at home and am loving is!!!

The 2021 Kona EV is so much Fun to drive and it has been financially awesome!! I paid more for gas in my Jeep each month than I pay totally for my Kona EV lease, ChargePoint fees, and insurance its been Great!!
