Fun, zippy

I absolutely love my Kona Electric. It is fun, zippy, good value for the money. Enjoy driving it on the highway. Small size is handy in tight parking spots. The exterior styling is very attractive. Handling is fun. I get over 300 miles per charge driving around the San Francisco Bay area. So far, after 2 years no reliability issues. And I'm not supporting Elon!

The car was great until it wasn't.

The car turned out to be a lemon and I had to try to deal with Hyundai America for reimbursement, a process I don't wish on anyone. Hyundai's corporate customer service experience was terrible for me. I was lied to by my claim manager on multiple occasions and I always had to be the one to initiate contact. I'd probably still be waiting for a resolution if I wasn't so persistent.

Love my Kona All Electric

I had planned to buy an Ioniq, but when I saw the Kona it was love at first sight. The only criticism I have is there is only 1 USB port whereas I would prefer 2 and there ought to be a way to attach my Garmin as the display panel on the Kona is primitive. But everything else about the Kona is perfect.

Solid EV Car

I enjoy the car. I was in the market for my first EV vehicle and Kona was the first one I drove and enjoyed it. The lease option worked well for me. This was pre-covid. Overall it is a nice car. Has good features. Pretty stylish. Folks around me enjoy it as well.

Kona - 5 Star Vehicle that can’t deliver

Everything about the EV Kona is first class, except what matters most to me, the battery range. Advertised at 250-300 miles per charge, the reality is that during the summer and winter, when the A/C or the heat is needed on a long journey, the actual mileage maxes out at about 180 miles. The meant that a 4 hour trip turned into a 5 + hour trip and this was repeated on the return journey. You are also at the mercy of the charging stations working and being available when your battery is under 20%. Everything else about the EV Kona was great. EV manufacturers have to be honest with consumers because the reality is much different to the advertising.

On my second one in 18 months

First one had to to be taken back by Hyundai after 4,000 miles due to defective battery which they could not get replaced. The latest on has had the Regen-transmission fail at 13,000 miles and will take 2 or more weeks to get part and replace.

First Hyundai, Likely Not Last

This is my first Hyundai, and first electric vehicle, and it has exceeded almost all of my expectations. It's big enough for most of my needs, does well in the winter, and like all electric vehicle, it is FAST. I genuinely wish I considered Hyundai sooner in the electric car search.

It is a great car for around town.

The eKona is fast off the blocks and drives very smoothly. Safety warnings are excellent and vision it good. Very comfortable for a smaller person and seat fits me well. Lack of a spare and high road noise on the freeway makes it less than perfect for long road trips. For my purposes mileage is good and it meets most of my needs.

The only problem I have is the cold air coming in through closed vents in the winter. Obviously I'd like a longer mileage range for road trips. Otherwise, I love this car. The collision warning is a bit annoying.

Powerful and Sturdy

I am glad that I made a right decision long before the gas price went up. I feel free from relying on the gas. I have my Solar system at home. That works things out great? My next vehicle would Hyundai too.

Love it!

I have had my Kona EV for a year and absolutely love it. It is stylish and comfortable. Charging is easy to do and very cost effective. The car is roomy enough for me, but I’m petite. The heated seats were great in the winter and allowed me to use less heat thus making the charge longer lasting. A full charge in the summer goes about 325 miles.

it’s a peppy car that is OK. I’m 6’2” and the center counsel is a major issue. It interferes with my knee when I’m driving. Fun to drive until my knee bothers me. I wanted base model but dealer forced me into mid model.

Fun, comfort and value

This Kona is my second ALL electric car. Love the range I have for every day driving and don’t worry about longer trips with DC charging on the road. FUN, best describes the driving experience. Love the regenerating braking and full stop assist with the steering wheel paddle.
