Electric Kona is good!

The Kona has a peppy, smooth ride. The electric Kona is upgrade to the gas model with noticeably more torque and responsive driving. Acceleration and deceleration are extremely smooth. It has excellent driving range and is easy to charge.

I can give back because you gave me a good car.

Look at the colors on the road. Silver isn’t a color. There’s black, light gray dark gray, charcoal … I’m getting depressed just listing ‘em. I had to choose white. I’ll go to the wrecking yard and get a rim and a spare tire so I don’t get stuck in the middle of Nevada. EV cars are expensive because of the batteries. The Audis, Teslas & BMWs are too expensive. The Chevy Bolt had cheap interior. The KIA Niro is OK. I settled on the Hyundai Kona EV because my wife liked the design. Hyundai gave us $10,000 off MSRP (lease) and with the federal and state rebates it was $30,000 out the door. I’ve only driven it for a few months but I like everything about it. Not much maintenance. Consumer Reports gives it an 8 (out of 10) on reliability. Once you drive an EV car you can’t go back to horse and wagon. It’s quick off the line and nimble on the road. Plus, the Jeeps and pickups with the wide knobby tires who are giving the finger to the tree huggers? … I’m across the intersection before they can even bark. What are they gonna do when there’s no more gas stations? These guys are always traveling up hill.

Great fun little car

I prefer the exterior styling of the 2022 model, but it wasn’t available when I needed a car. This car is fast and comfortable and all the interior controls are right where I expected them. It’s also a great value.

Great car

I love this car. Electric is the way to go. Easy to charge. Cheap to run. Accelerates like a rabbit and fun to drive. Small seats in the rear so probably not great for big kids but no problem for me. Loads of fun

Fantastically fun and efficient car

I had been setting my eyes on the Kona EV since it first came out, and after driving it for 3 months, not only did it not disappoint, it keeps growing on me. I love how quickly and smoothly it accelerates and how zippy it is around town and highways. Handling is quite confident with accurate, nicely weighted steering; ride is firm but never harsh. Noises are manageable as well, but most importantly, it has zero direct emission: I no longer feel guilty sitting idly on bumper-to-bumper traffic.

Love this car It has great pick up as would be expected with an electric vehicle. I wish a real navigation system would be offered as a stand alone upgrade. I live the fact that I don’t have to scrunch down to get in & out.

Peppy, comfy

We spent over a year researching EVs. After reading several reviews, we settled on the Kona. So glad we did. It’s responsive, comfortable…very happy with our choice so far, 3 months in. It’s loaded with tech features, which should be explained and demonstrated by dealership prior to taking possession.

This car has nearly everything you could want in a car, it is quiet, comfortable, & electric! I have already recommended this vehicle to many of my family and friends and everyone who has been in it loves all of the features and design!

First electric vehicle!

This is my first electric vehicle, but it wasn't my first choice. I was about to close on a 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV but when the battery recall made it so the dealer couldn't sell me the vehicle, it was back to the drawing board. In hindsight, I regret not giving Hyundai a closer look. They are taking vehicle electrification more seriously than most other manufacturers, and it shows in the quality of their vehicles. I fell in love with the Kona EV after the first test drive...and solidified it in a second. The offers/incentives put the Limited trim model well within my budget, and it comes with tons of features I didn't have in my previous vehicle. So far I've been getting more than 260 miles per full charge, and even plugging into a standard outlet overnight is more than enough to regain my usage from an average day of driving. If you're on the fence about going electric and want something that's a good deal, go with the Kona EV!

Not bad at all.

Features are nice. Vehicle sits low, basically like a car. Sunroof takes away a lot of headroom. Vehicle is also pretty lightweight. Tires slip on fast acceleration. Vehicle drifts a bit on turns. Bumpy if you're used to an SUV.

Love it! 1st Eletric car, and we are not going back. Fun to drive and great value as compared with other electric cars available. Great range close to 300 miles allows peace of mind and we don't need to charge every night.

Electric is the future!

The Kona EV is an amazing vehicle all around. It is an amazing value and feels like a luxury car for half the price. The acceleration of the electric motor is incredible. I look for excuses to take it out for a drive because it is the most fun car I have ever driven!

My daughter describes it as an "space ship". I imagine it is because it is futuristic

This is great car to move to a clean energy vehicle with lots of features and a good range, 250 miles per charge. Excellent performance. The price is good. The interaction with the finance department was exceptional. I learnt the option of leasing is better because I pay less monthly and have the option to buy the car at the end of the lease for its residual value, or get the newest version on another lease.

unexpected good experience with my first EV. good acceleration, quiet and helpful driving assist. rear seat and trunk space is little narrow driver seat control design is good the bluelink helps to monitor status and remote control the vehicle.

Smooth and Comfy

I love my Kona EV. It is a pleasure to drive short and long distance. The seating is comfortable and unlike some of the hybrid cars I've been in, there is no jerkiness when starting and stopping. With the amount of charging stations around the country I can charge anywhere too!

Great ride, unsafe battery

would give it 5 stars if the batteries didn't try to explode and render my vehicle useless. I got the EV vehicle system warning light and it does not turn on. it is now a lemon, living at the dealership, and will take 9 months to replace all batteries. I am paying for a car i cannot use both in financing and in insurance. I didn't even get my titling notice before my car died. I only had it for 2.5 months before this happened, the batteries have been recalled in other vehicles which makes me want to complete stay away from the brand and style used. The EV Kona is one of the best EVs for its value and size and I wish Hyundai used the Battery Cells to manufacturer it instead.

Ladybug Runs Fast

Really liked my Ioniq, but with the charger in the garage, wanted the longer range EV with driver assistance, sunroof and better headlights. The Kona EV satisfied all of that and is easier to get into. I am completely happy with my red and black Kona.

Fun to drive

My Kona is a blast to drive in all modes, has great range (300 miles) and is quiet and comfortable to drive. It has great lines and plenty of cargo space. leg room to spare in both the front and back. A sheer joy to drive!

Amazing Vehicle! Ride the Wave :)

We really enjoyed our entire experience getting the new Kona Electric. We actually flew from Minnesota to Colorado to get it and it was 100% worth it! It drives amazingly, the range is great, and it's extremely affordable.
