My Santa Cruz

I needed something that provided a lot of utility that was fun to drive. I mountain bike often and will take trips to mountain bike parks. The UTE provides good gas mileage a comfortable ride and has all the utility I need. Very handy vehicle.

Awesome little ride.

Fun little truck to drive and I think it's really cool looking. Needs more power. Should have held out for the turbo, but. Maybe I need to slow down a bit anyway. Dealer can't tell me where to get the roll-n-lock bed cover.

Loved the looks when i first saw it...loved my 2018 Tucson and knew Hyundai was a quality vehicle ..it seemed to hace a lot of satisfied reviews on line and i wanted something fun and sporty to drive.. also something to get thru snow and ice without a problem..

Greatly appreciated

The santa cruz is a sporting little vehicle that turns a lot of heads. Have had a lot of guys walk up to me in parking lots as I'm getting ready to go shopping and say. Wow. That's what I want and then they start with the questions of how it is on gas. How it would so sharp just with it's stance just a little taller. But like I'd like to say as well. I'd like it better with a little more gitty up and go power and just a little taller stance as well. That way the step could be a little lower and not sticking so far out from the vehicle that you hit the back of your leg getting in and out. Thanks for listening.

my truck

very happy with overall experience so far, truck has under 1500 miles since new, so I will take more time to evaluate down the road....the audio system is barebones and mediocre sound quality, needs more power for the rear speakers.......

What's not to love about the Santa Cruz.

My Santa Cruz was purchased new in April. I have gotten many compliments on the style and the color. I am very pleased with the total package. I am hoping to continue to love this until the next Santa Cruz.

Summary

As per the survey, I stated that there is an issue of the vehicle rolling forward when parked on an incline, and I pushed it in reverse. I have come so close to hitting the vehicle in front of me, or whatever is in front of me. I also dislike the holes in the seats as everything gets stuck in them, and I can’t find seat covers made for the Santa Cruz

This vehicle is stylish and fun to drive. It’s packed with so many standard teach and safety features. People ask what it is and it is a real head turner. I love the bed for hauling things and get good mpg.

This vehicle is fun to drive and has plenty of pep and styling.... not to mention, good fuel economy!

We have been looking for a new pickup truck that was a little smaller than our F150 and one that got better fuel economy. This truck met those needs. We also bought a small trailer to be able to tow the ATV's around. Even when towing, this truck has plenty of pep!

Nice ride!

I love this truck! It is very stylish and I love that I don’t see many on the road. I have already used the bed of the truck for hauling items for my house and it has proven to be very useful. I absolutely love this car!

It's awesome. I enjoy the car very much. It looks nice and rides very nice. I feel like its' unique look grabs people's attention. I enjoy having one of the first of the Santa Cruz's in my area. I highly recommend.

Issue with engine light claiming cooling issue. Replaced sensor but didn't fix. Returned vehicle under lemon law. Overall, the engine was not putting out enough power. Sluggish..

Issue with sensor light showing engine issues. Cooling system issues with watning light signal. In shop 3 times. Mechanics replaced sensor (8 weeks waiting for part). Lemon law utilized and vehicle returned. There are issues with this vehicle that are happening but not yet reported. Time will reveal production problems.

Great new truck

I was waiting for a Ford Maverick that i ordered ( 1 year). I researched the Santa Cruz, took a month to find one with the equipment that i wanted and brought it. Had to reserve over the phone andick it up 1 week later

Very much worth a Look

The Santa Cruze is an outstanding vehicle, with clean lines, extremely nice interior, drives like a high end car, but is a truck. Great acceleration. Good storage in bed with additional storage space hidden under truck bed floor The integrated bed cover is extremely useful for locking away large items you don’t want in the vehicle. Cons are could have more USBs as none are available for the passengers Could have More usable storage compartments. Could have air vents for the passengers

Nice truck. Great ride, loads of room, great on gas. Super fun to drive…great on the Highway. Took it on a road trip and was pleasantly surprised on how it performed. The dealership has been fantastic too !

Love my new Santa Cruz!

The looks and performance do not disappoint. Best vehicle purchase yet!!! I can't find anything I don't like about this truck. The lockable tonneau cover is great. The truck bed might seem small but it is actually perfect. Love the features for driving and safety. I fully recommend this truck.

Loving It

Bought the Limited trim. I did a thorough research on the vehicle before decided to purchase one. Overall, it meets all my expectations. Several gripes: 1) price of the vehicle was high, but no one forced me to purchase it, it was my own decision; 2) fuel consumption so far is lower than the published numbers, but it could be because it's still in break-in period (less than 1,200 miles); 3) wind noise from the roof rack and closed windows is louder than my other vehicles; 4) front passenger seat has manual adjustments; 5) no driver seat memory; 6) no auto folding side mirrors; 7) wish the entire rear window can roll down (not just a sliding peep hole).

Suspension noise

loud hard clunking from suspension under slightly rough roads. I paid over 48k for this truck and it should tight and silent in that department. Other than that ok, but I find this very annoying and ruins the overall experience.

Hyundai Santa Cruz Fuel consumption

I have tis car for almost three months. I am planning to change it because of the high fuel consumption. It is around 18mpg in city which is less than what the sticker on the vehicle says. Built quality, style and driving is fine but fuel consumption is bad.
