It was worth the wait to get the color and trim/features I wanted!

This truck has exceeded my expectations. It handles extremely well and has better than expected fuel economy. Excellent safety features. I really like how many features (safety, infotainment, front seats) can be customized. Much quieter than expected with the sun roof open. Very impressed with the features and ease of use of the MyHyundai app. Seat adjustments provide the right balance of comfort, firmness and support.

24’ Hyundai Santa Cruz Night Edition

Fun to drive and awesome styling. Hyundai would have to add more features and off road functionality for me to purchase another one. I traded in a 2017 Ford F-150 XLT. I have made some modifications to the vehicle to change the styling but in the end a lift and bigger tires don’t help if the vehicles suspension can’t articulate off road.

PROBLEMS

I HAVE A 24 SANTA CRUZ WITH 8,000 MILES ON IT AND ALMOST GOT ME AND MY WIFE KILLED. ON THE INTERSTATE AT 73 AND CARS STARTED STOPPING AND I HAD TO GET ON MY BRAKES AND THEY WENT TO THE FLOOR. IT HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP OVER 3 WEEKS THEY CALLED SAID IT WAS READY I SAW THE PAPER WHERE IT COST ALMOST 4,000.00 AND I GOT IN IT AND THEY STILL GO TO THE FLOOR SO I LEFT IT AND THEY SAID GUESS WE STILL NEED TO FIND THE PROBLEM. THIS IS NOT GOOD.

tops for looks, driveability and safety. People are always curious about the truck when they see it Engine power is excellent, and transmission shifts smoothly Seats are very comfortable, even on long rides. gas mileage generally exceeds the sticker estimates

The perfect vehicle car/truck handles very well quiet comfortable great a/c you would never really know it is a truck until you need to bring home something special from Sams club ( like that 75" TV ) , way better then a SUV !

One of the the easiest choices I've made and usually the salesman make me regret even thinking about buying a car. Young man Ari, was skillful without being pushing, gave me space and time. Biggest plus is He Didn't Try To Sell Me Something I Didn't WANT!!! Excellent salesman,Ari, in Cookeville TN. Delightful and has followed up with me every week since purchase. You should actually consider recruiting him to train or evaluate other Salesman at company/Corporate level. I don't say things like this, lightly!

Very versatile and practical, but too slow

My v6 tacoma got the same gas mileage as my non turbo santa cruz and was way faster and more powerful. Interior body piece on the back of the window (little black triangle) has fallen off and has gone missing after a month of ownership. Lights in the sun visors vibrate and make annoying noises when driving. You can tell it's a cheap car for those reasons, but otherwise I do really like it and it draws good attention. It has way more options and equipment than my tacoma but isn't nearly as fun to drive

Love the looks, ride and overall feel of the vehicle but it is too overloaded with complicated electronic features that are difficult to setup and no one at the dealership had any idea how set the features up properly.

Salesman was awesome

Been following the Santa Cruz from prototype to actual model you can buy. Love its style. The Hyundai warranty is outstanding. I especially like the lockable tonneau cover for the truck bed and the step bumper is real convenient.

Love the look, could do better on gas

I would love to buy this car because It doesn’t look like a man work truck and yet it has the advantage of being able to transport thing, but I don’t see it being good on gas. Although I’ve been testing them and shopping around, Gas it’s a Dealbreaker for me.

Good for what it is

I purchased a Santa Cruz for work, I use it everyday and normally drive around 80 miles a day. It is a good drive, feels like driving a small SUV like a Tuscon, the MPG is decent and I do like having the bed as an option. I will say and note that this is not a family car, the rear seats are small and people can feel crammed and hot as there are no AC vents in the back of the SEL model. Overall I do love my Santacruz and enjoy driving it, it is the most efficient and affordable option if looking for a good truck with a good manufactures warranty. This is my 4th Hyundai in the past 20 years.

Great light truck!

The Santa Cruz is more up market and better finished than the Ford Maverick. It combines truck usefulness with SUV refinement, quirt and ride quality.. Great build quality.' It is my first Hyundai and it has been a very pleasant surprise.

Hasn’t even had its first oil change and already having problems

Bought my 2024 Santa Cruz 11/2023. Started having issues with electrical, AC and dashboard. Meters don’t work, blinkers, AC, all warning signs flashing. Brought it to lithia hyundai Reno. They said they couldn’t see a problem after “inspecting” it for a week. 2 days later, same thing. No blinkers, no AC, all warning signs flashing, dashboard malfunctioning again. Brought it back to lithia Hyundai. 2 weeks later still no response. Also no loaner car. Promised time and time again the service rep would contact me with an update, if not at the very least the “receptionist” Going on 3 weeks now, no update. I hated my car before which was a hyundai Tucson, it had been stolen in San Jose by the Kia boys and trashed. Hyundai in Stevens Creek did an absolutely disgusting job with the repairs. Thought I had it bad then I switch into a 2024 Santa Cruz. I hate this car. I hate Hyundai, I hate the service department and how they have constantly mishandled this situation. Buyer beware.

No issues with car it looks great and handles well. the interior looks nice but could use a little bit more leg room in the back seat. I like the strap they installed in the rear cargo to retrieve the cover to pull close.

Good promise, poor quality

Overall the features and performance of the vehicle are good and it has a lot of good potential for what it is. I have had several issues since taking delivery of the car in less than 2,000 miles. I have had a check engine light come on twice, violent shaking and shuddering, lots of power, and a battery that has died in less than a week. In about 2000 miles the vehicle is already in the shop with a drivetrain issue. This would be the fourth Hyundai I have ever owned and it is the most concerning.

I love the Santa Cruz drives like car not a truck smooth ride and love the color and get many great compliments. this is a user friendly truck that is more SUV than truck. I like to call this my Sport Luxury Utility Truck.

A lot of fun to drive

This has been a really fun car to drive and I love all the features. The only real negative is the stereo reception. It is a Bose Stereo but I lose reception or get static on stations all the time. Seems if I go more than 50 miles I start to get static. My 19 year old car got better reception. Driving in the mountains, going into a parking garage, the reception just doesn't work. I use my phone as a radio sometimes because it is so annoying to be driving a long and the station turns to static - but that costs a lot of data.

Hyundai is Game Changer

The Santa Cruz a very nice, well put together vehicle with style, power, handling, comfort, convenience and safety. I think I am driving a sports car and not an SUV based truck. The Santa Cruz is fun to drive and when I go to the hardware store I can load up with stuff! The power and accelerate are great! And, the safety features are noteworthy. The touch controls are very easy and sensitive and work so better than I ever thought!

Truck is sexy looking and something I always wanted. This says it all. The color is beautiful. People have saved how great it looks but why would I buy a truck. The reason is that I like trucks and this one handles better than a SUV
