Do not buy or lease!!!!

Terrible car. Water leaks into my passenger side often. I have taken it to the service center 5 times for them to fix nothing.

I love the car overall but with all the tight spaces and the type of plastic and vinyll in the car, I find it very hard to clean.

1900 miles and has issuesā€¦

That the service people keep saying they canā€™t identify despite having codes thrown that show what is wrong. They wonā€™t even try to fix this dangerous issue until they can ā€œ recreate itā€ despite me completely losing power twice on a highway. Very disappointed by the service and the Hyundai name and would NOT recommend their vehicles unless they get their acts together. And yes, I have an open case with Hyundai CS.

Love everything about the car except the entertainment system

The communication/entertainment system is just awful. I was told when I bought the car that it had wireless apple carplay: it does not. I had to buy a special dongle and it works 75% of the time. The other annoying thing is that it picks up calls when the car is offā€¦thereā€™s no good reason for that. Finally you canā€™t listen to the radio if youā€™re using any car play features.

Is it a car is it a truck?

The Santa Cruz has a unique design and is an eye catcher. A number of people have commented its appearance. Its rides is a comfortable balance between a SUV and a Truck and it functions well as a second vehicle. It seems to be well built and is quite capable of pulling a small trailer. I have found it serves well for my needs including the capacity of payload. I have used it to help move, to haul lawn waste, building materials including 23 sheets of plywood ( probable a little much but it handled it ). After market items are readily available including trailer hitch and colorful decals to highlight tailgate. I have three or four things that need to be addressed in newer models. 1. getting in and out of drivers seat can be difficult because of how low roof support is. Some of this problem can be eliminated by lowering seat but this something of a pain if you have to get in and out frequently. 2. I find fuel milage to be disappointing. I get an average of 22 MPG, compared to a Ford F150 that gets 24 MPG it seems this truck could do better. 3. The transmtion has also been a disappointment. Our other vehicle (a SUV of comparable size) has a CVT transmition that is almost unnoticeable on steep hills or in the mountains. In addition the SUV gets an average of 30 MPG . 4. lastly getting in and out of back seat is also difficult

you can not put a bicycle in the back of it, the back seat is no good to cramp if you have people that are tall just an average vehicle, I will not buy another one as soon as I can get rid of this one

Overall, very pleased with my Santa Cruz. Two small complaints- the infotainment system isnā€™t very user friendly. And the windshield wipers canā€™t be raised up to remove ice during winter weather
