My 2025 Santa Cruz

Love the vehicle, drives well, and feels solid. I do not drive very far to the office, and just run errands around town. So I have only had it serviced once. It will have oil change, and etc. when the mileage is due. Only complaint is I wish the roll cover was water proof, it's not.

An ok car but has issues

Definitely they have issues with the transmission. If you have to hit the pedal hard the engine revs so much its like you are redlining it. Very disturbing

Santa Cruz does so many things well

It is like a Pick-up Car. Not too much of a truck. It is so driveable, like most other vehicles. The 2 things that could be improved on are 1) the little orange crash indicator lights are quite (too much) sensitive. When the roads are wet, any snow, or sun is a little low on the horizon the cameras get confused and turn the light on. 2) the rear vision is surprisingly not good. Between the tailgate and small back window will make you depend on the rear vision camera and side/door mirrors for primary information while backing. I put a rack on the bed (to carry up to 3 bikes), have driven it cross country and back, and have a small travel trailer. It has handled this excellently. You can't go wrong with it as a daily driver or recreation supporter. My all around mileage is about 26 mpg ... not bad and not the best, but good enough.

Everything is fine on the vehicle except when I ran the first update none it the bluelink functions would work until a dealer reset was done by request during an oil change visit. Now I refuse to run an update.

What I wanted to!

The Santa Cruz drives like a car and has the ability to do small truck stuff. Really appreciate the towing capability. Technology level is right level as is the finish. I would not want it at a higher finish as that would take away the utility and robustness. I currently own a Santa Cruz 2023 on Maui and a 2025 here in Florida. Perfect for loading my racing canoes, not too high and with the after market racks is super sturdy.
