My Santa Cruz at One Year

Overall, great little machine. Economical, sporty, handles well. Downside, too many electronics like sensors that try to stop you. Not needed. Touchscreen controls a problem. I keep turning on my heated seats which in El Paso’s 100+ weather is no fun. Knobs are easier to adjust and you don’t worry about finger smudges. Those day running lights are a waste. Too many of them. A good pair of fog lights with on demand controls would be so much better. That small bed is great. Unless you’re going into the pool or landscaping business, the truck bed is perfect for toting stuff around. Highly recommend this great little machine.

My Santa Cruz will NOT read or display text without going through a 3 step process, very distracting, dealership says that is by design? Overall the vehicle performs well for what it is!

The engine is too clanky...even for a 4 cylinder motor.

Besides the engine, I'm having constant problems with the computer sending texts. The standard tires are crap...whenever I hit a painted line on the road the vehicle slides. There are also times when the transmission doesn't lock into place. Please note that there is only 2000 miles on the vehicle.

First time Hyundai owner

This truck will do almost everything a full size truck will do with better gas mileage. The ride quality is decent, more of a sporty feel, I've heard others say bigger tires smooth out the ride but its pretty good to begin with. If you own a full size truck it takes some getting use too, its not what it was designed to compete with in this segment but still will meet almost all your needs. I like the looks, far more stylish than others in the segment or trucks in general. If I was being critical to make the Santa Cruz perfect... 1.5-2 inches of ground clearance would help off road capabilities/ also add to its looks in my opinion, seats could be a little more comfortable, ride could be slightly smoother, add more rear window visibility. That being said, it meets all my needs regardless of those wish list items. Overall its an exceptional value, has great gas mileage and has done everything I have needed it to do.

Should be better

New 2025 Hyandai Santa Cruz Limited. Not liking the brakes, pulsing already, probably warped rotors. Transmission is DCT, I am not happy about its shifting. I drive it like I am supposed to but it should be better. Manual shifter didnt work from the start. I like the ride and comfort.

Owners Manual is a Must Read

Steering Column is extremely hard to adjust. If you do not read owners manual you will not know that coffee cup symbol is not that bottle on cup holder is not hot it simply means that your driving habits do not meet the Artificial intelligence of the vehicle standards of staying alert. I went crazy while driving trying to figure out what the hey was going on. Not the best thing to do while driving. could create an accident if not concentrating on the road. sensors could be a little off at times. My vehicle kept telling I was in a collision, while driving.. not sure where sensors are located. it stop doing it so I am thinking it was dirt or mud from the continuing rain we've been have where I am from. Other that that the vehicle appears to be running great.

Hardest review ever as I love my truck

More of a zero on the dealership. Sansone in NJ and the office of president Munoz not standing by product and disrespecting the customer.

My Trucklet

The cruise control and collision avoidance system is way too sensitive. When a vehicle in front of me slows to turn I don't need my vehicle to make a jarring stop because I am capable of judging the distance and turning the wheel away in order to not have to also stop or slow down. The cruise is virtually worthless in any kind of traffic as even at the shortest setting, it's too far of a distance so the speed is constantly being reduced, which renders it useless.The driver side seat belt is constantly stuck after releasing it and it's very annoying trying to retrieve it to put it back on. The rear sliding window needs to be powered so it can be opened from the driver seat, I would also like to see it enlarged for carrying long items.
