Badly underpowered

The truck is sharp, well laid out, and has a nice ride. I'm convinced it would have sold better if Hyundai had bothered to give it an adequate engine. Since the turbo is only offered in the upper trims, I would rate it an overall miss.

2025 Santa Cruz

Great car/truck. Good for small jobs around town. Nice acceleration, just feels so good on the road. I don't like the the "stop for coffee" feature at the very least, I would like the computer to tell me "why" the alarm registers... out of lane, hands off the wheel etc.

Love it except all the error messages

I’ve had it in the shop a few times, there was a recall, but this didn’t fix the problem. Randomly while driving lights blink saying the safety system is turned off. It’s frustrating.

Excellent quality at the Hyundai price point

Very good handling, Turbo power there when needed. Interior well appointed, dash board intel board is NOT intrusive, blends into the shape of the dashboard. Only thing missing is an eyeglass holder. Side power retracting mirrors would have been a plus. Vehicle (Santa Cruz - well engineered.

Tonneau cover leaks

Tonneau cover is the worst cover I have ever had. It leaks like a sieve. Don't leave or carry anything in the back that can't get wet!!

Solid small pickup

Great little truck with just the right amount of storage for those that don't need a full-time bed. Ok mileage with a great ride, thanks to the unibody. Downside is customizing and repairs can be challenging and pricey due to the unibody. Only issue I've had is the transmission is finicky which drives worries at higher miles.
