Santa cruz 2024

I've only owned this vehicle for a month but I've taken it to the dealer 4 times to get things fixed. At this point my very disappointed. I wasn't expecting a brand new car would give me this much of an inconvenience.

Been in shop longer than had it

Took on my new Santa Cruz for first service on 4 Nov 2023 They found a problem and it has been in shop more three weeks because they cannot get replacement part. Quality is poor and replacement parts for brand new 2024 is hard to find

Radiator Issues

Purchased end of August 2023 - brand new 2024 Santa Cruz SE. Vehicle has 2k miles and already in the shop. Radiator issues that the dealer is claiming they will not cover. I am very disappointed... truck randomly overheated while driving, almost caught on fire. Smoke coming from hood. Faulty radiator that exploded that Hyundai will not cover... very poor customer service at local dealership.

Backwards trims. Buy cheap get more SMH

Why buy the top tier vehicle when it includes way less than the entry level versions. You can get running boards and roof racks and all weather floor mats and tow hitch included in the lesser models. But when you buy the Limited trim. NONE OF THIS IS INCLUDED. ON THE MOST EXPENSIVE TRIM

DCT Transmission problems since delivery

I am not happy that I purchase a brand new vehicle with problems. I feel the honest thing for Hyundai to do is to buy it back and sell me a replacement but I know that will never happen. You live and you learn

Excited at first until I realized my car was taking on water, all floorboards, mats, etc. are sopping wet

I couldn’t have been more excited about purchasing the Santa Cruz and planned on keeping it for 10 years or more. Hyundai dealer, and Hyundai USA suck...

Speedometer does not read properly. and no one cares. it reads faster than truck is going. putting more miles on truck than I am driving, I was told this was normal by dealer so the truck will be out of warrantee faster, called Hyundai USA and asked if this was true and they said it works as it should. meaning to me that it a way of getting out of warranty faster... Front trim falling off and they will not call me back to have fixed too...

New 2024 Santa Cruz Limited

Great looking truck inside and out and is a whole lot of fun to drive. Rides like a small luxury SUV. Downside is it's got the Hyundai reliability concerns. I'm at 5737 miles and i've already had 2 engine misfires, one saved a code, one did not. Upon contacting my dealer I was told to keep driving on it as long as the CEL isn't blinking, and the earliest they could even take a look at it was over a month away. Trim pieces running along the windshield are peeling up at the top. The front grille and bumper are peeling from bug and water impacts. I've driven on almost exclusively highways and paved urban/suburban roads and the black chrome finish is peeling off already. Less than three months and under 5K miles that problem was evident already. Hyundai not very forthcoming on details surrounding the roof and side of the truck bed in terms of what's there to mount to and the specs for those locations (static load capacity info would be nice).

Welcome to the Hyundai Santa Cruz, VERY LIMITED version.

Great features, but some tweaking is still needed. The lack of handicapped-friendly auto-retracting driver seats, the missing Heads-Up Display, and the inability to pull/tow the truck from the front are items of concern. The adaptive cruise-control programming requires some reprogramming as well. Otherwise, the truck is fun to drive. With the 2.5 Liter Turbo engine, one is capable of towing a significant load.

Doesn't replace my Wrangler

If you're considering trading in your Jeep Wrangler fir a Santa Cruz... don't. You will regret it. Yes, the turbo Santa Cruz is quicker and more nible, and a bit easier to get in /out of. Maybe even more comfortable... but that's it. You will miss everything else. Keep your Jeep.

Good promise, poor quality

Overall the features and performance of the vehicle are good and it has a lot of good potential for what it is. I have had several issues since taking delivery of the car in less than 2,000 miles. I have had a check engine light come on twice, violent shaking and shuddering, lots of power, and a battery that has died in less than a week. In about 2000 miles the vehicle is already in the shop with a drivetrain issue. This would be the fourth Hyundai I have ever owned and it is the most concerning.

Great vehicle but lousy gas mileage

I love the styling and comfort, as well as the technology built into the Limited. Unfortunately, I am getting very bad gas mileage which is my biggest concern. It is supposed to get 27MPG on average and I am getting 18 MPG at best while driving it super gently during the break-in period. Things that could be improved, besides the MPG, are: - option to automatically lock doors on exit - currently bluelink (if active) will message you that doors are not locked and give you an option to lock them; would be better if it could be set to just do it automatically - wireless CarPlay on the Limited - currently requires phone to be plugged in yet they provide a wireless charger?! - better audio on the Limited - the sound is just meh. has to be turned up at least half way to hear it when the vehicle is moving and the sound is not punchy at all; OK for podcasts and audio books but music sounds horrible.

Love my car

My vehicle is still new. Not even 5000 mi on it yet. So it is too soon to say too much. All I can say is I'm very disappointed that with how much I paid for my vehicle it didn't come with ambient lighting or a hitch.

Like the vehicle styling.

Like the way, the vehicle looked the performance for towing and the lockable bed retractable cover, and the gross weight you can put in the bed self leveling suspension. The adaptive cruise control. And Blindspot cameras were a plus.

Is a nice little truck. Economy is decent. Styling is good

Nice vehicle for what it is. A small truck. I don’t do a lot of hauling and the size is sufficient. I particularly like the bed cover. It was an extra expense but well worth it. The AWD is constantly working which affects the mileage. With that said still avg. 26 MPG

Love my new 2024 Santa Cruz

This truck/suv replaces a Genesis GV70 and I am pleased because I needed a bed from time to time and this fits my needs. The truck can pull my boat which was difficult with the height of the GV70. My wife drives a Genesis GV80 and we decided we did not need 2 suvs. Overall, very, very pleased with my Santa Cruz!

A bit disappointed with engine noise and difficulty getting a tow hitch harness

The styling is great which led me to the purchase. Having difficulty getting a tow hitch harness. The over all quality is on the cheap side. Very low headroom and the interior lighting system not that good.
