Hyundai Tucson Hybrid

We bought the car in March of 2026, so far we have enjoyed all of the features, the daytime running map, is black and I wonder why it’s not a lighter color, why have it if you can’t really see it?

Good SUV

Overall, the Tucson is a good SUV, but there are several things that frustrate me. The adaptive cruise control is not very refined — it often detects stopped cars too late and doesn’t slow down soon enough. The information center always defaults back to the home screen unless I’m using Android Auto, which gets annoying. The media system never returns to my favorites or the last station I was listening to, so I have to click through multiple screens every time just to get back to my radio presets. I’ve also had the music stop playing entirely and had to reset the system, and I’ve only owned the car for a couple of months. Switching from the pedal to resuming cruise control is rough and not smooth at all. Finally, the automatic windshield wiper system doesn’t let me turn off the rain‑sensing feature and choose my own interval. The detection isn’t very accurate, and I’d prefer normal adjustable wipers. Gas milage is not a good as I expected, it only gets a couple of miles more than my non-hybrid Honda CRV

Almost a 5 star

Loving the Tucson, a few things we don’t like - initiate cruise control and lane assist also comes on; easy to turn off, but why? Also phantom warning to consider taking a break…. Still learning all the bells & whistles

Lots of bells and whistles

Car runs great. Too many “upgrades” and dealer didn’t explain a lot so I’m finding out as I go. Has issue with paint smudges that were addressed but I’m noticing it in the other side too. Will call dealer about this and some of the door rubber is loose. A sometimes the door doesn’t lock like it should. But overall very happy. Esp the heated steering wheel.

There are too many warnings that keep sounding. For no reason at all, it will tell me the keep my eyes on the road. I am. And when you pull into a parking space, it will start to alert for no reason

2026 Hyundai Tuscon LImited Hybrid

This is the 2nd Tuscon Limited I have owned only this new one is a Hybrid. Great interior and exterior styling. The infotainment center is awesome. It's a comfortable, and safe ride. And I especially love the Hybrid version gas mileage. A great gas saver because it switched from Hybrid to gas and back to Hybrid when it needs to. Fuel efficiency is the greatest. And the features that I wanted in this vehicle, most were standard but I added a few, are wonderful. The dealership I worked with both times (Bowser Automotive) were awesome to work with as well. I would encourage anyone who purchases a Hybrud to invest in the extended warranty. It is well worth the investment. I would highly recommend this vehicle yo snyone.

Nice and comfortable, mechanical issues first 2 weeks < 600 miles

The car is nice and comfortable, gas mileage is ok not great. The water pump on the car failed within 6-700 miles of driving (brand new) and had to be replaced. Car was in shop for around a week. We never had this happen on any other brand new car so are worries about long term reliability.

Hybrid doesn’t do its job.

Hybrid Tucson gives about the same gas mileage as my Santa Fe. Not worth the money. All windows and doors do not seal well mainly if you live on a gravel road. Rattle in door when wind hits one side. Love some of the car features and frustration with the other things. What am I going to think 3 yrs from now? Loved my Santa Fe’s!

I am now positive that there are TOO many bells and whistles on this car.... a major distraction When I bring my cell into the car, the carplay automatically goes to cell, AND activates my Audible book I listen to, as opposed to staying on a FM radio channel last used I am surprised I cannot lock the car from the inside (should I find it open late at night) but have to go find my fob and lock from that I am also surprised that there is NOT a hands free option on the tailgate, you have to either open with button at dashboard or fob (and am disappointed that pressing the fob once does not open the tailgate, rather you have to hold the button continuously to open tailgate)
