Fun to drive, looks great, compact

It is a great small SUV for affordable price. I love my Hyundai Venue SEL, two color trim. I get 36.2 miles per gallon in combine driving. I really hope Venue will stay the same compact size. I have a small one car garage as many people do and it fits in well without major issues, unlike bigger SUV like Honda HRV . When I test drove HRV and Nissan Kicks, I considered the sizes if them. I would not be able comfortably park them in. My only issue with Hyundai Venue - no power folding side mirrors and noticeable road noise on highways. Everything else is fantastic.

As the moron in the white house causes oil prices to skyrocket, having a car regularly getting 40mpg is a great thing.

Venue Duva

I am absolutely in love with my mint green Venue car. I get so many compliments for the "look" of it but I love how the car runs and all its safety features. The alerts it gives when something or someone is behind me has saved me from accidents. I also love how the car has 3 driving modes: normal, sport, and snow. Great volume and bass when listening to music or podcasts. The volume goes down is you drive outside the lanes. I appreciate how the car guides you when driving to keep you within the lanes (you can turn it off if it becomes too much). I was also lucky to get a sunroof for this model. Long story short, this is my first Hyundai. It might not be my last.

VENUE APPRECIATION

I enjoy most things about the Venue. I truly dislike the sensor system that takes control of the vehicle, especially since it cannot acurately "see" the twist, turns and changing road work sensors in the ground or of the road and barriers themselves. I would appreciate any advice you could offer as to if/how the service department can minimize the activity of the sensors which I personally find to be extremely dangerous, especially around bigger vehicles like trailer trucks and buses, etc

Practical and Affordable

Its refreshing to buy a quality vehicle for under 25k. I enjoy all the added features. The car is comfortable to drive and handles road bumps well. I had one issue when I bought. The side blinker on the drivers side fender fell out for no reason. The body shop fixed it but I had to travel further than my local dealer because the issue had to serviced by their body shop. It was minor but more or an inconvenience. It did leave a surface scratch on the paint because when it fell out it was dangling. Performance wise the automatic transmission feels choppy sometimes when going up a steep hill form a dead stop. I dont like that Android Auto requires a subscription to use the You Tube Music apps functionality when connected to the center screen. Ive adjusted it but at first it was a little distracting when trying to listen to audio tracks. Im pleased with the car overall though.

Hesitant

Drove a VW Beetle for the last 26 years. Was hesitant buying a Hyundai but pleasantly surprised. I really like driving it. It’s not a big SUV which is perfect for me.
