wonderful ride

2004 SL 600, V-12 biturbo. 1 owner. Bought new 20 years ago. Daily driver Has > 100K miles. Very quiet Sleeper, flies below the radar, gets minimal attention from public. Handles well on Michelin PS4 tires, effortless power. RENNTech ECU tune, SL65 LSD. Delimited Vmax 202 mph personally confirmed with no drama. Smooth ride, much more comfortable than 911, Vette, Ferrari or Lambo but not as agile. $3000 + average annual maintenance.

Great car

My 04 500sl with AMG pkg is comfortable, fast and handles great. Luckily, mine only had 52k miles when purchased and just tripped 60k. Typical MB problems, over engineered and maintenance fees ridiculous. When right it's awesome, but high maintenance.

LIL RED - My SL500

I am well satisfied with my car. It was a present to myself after completing two years in The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It's fun to drive, a wonder when on a trip with outstanding performance both at speed and in fuel economy. It is solid and comfortable. The car settles down at higher speeds as it lowers itself and moves from power steering assit to a more manual controlled position. It is quiet at speed and goes where it is pointed without veering left or right.

04 SL 500

Have only had the car for a few weeks very low millage 04 , but an amazing car , still being very careful driving it till I get use to it , not a car for city traffic , much happier car , out on the road, lotta bang for the buck , again have to say an amazing car !!!!

SL 500 Mercedes

Excellent car to own. It is worth every penny. The way it handles on the road, the excellent aceleration, breaking system and the way the car hugs the road is a manufacturing genius. This is all set in a retractable hard top roof surrounded by Bose speakers.

Great vehicle.....expensive to maintain.

I really appreciate the Mercedes vehicle line and the SL 500 is an excellent example. The control knobs, buttons and A/C direction control levers are poorly designed and tend to break down over time.

amazing look, amazing ride,

Love the vehicle, excellent engineering, and a quality riding experience. The amazing body design has lasted for years and to know what year it is, has to be answered or guest, The only drawback in owning an SL is to pray daily nothing seriously goes wrong, at a Mercedes dealership their prices to repair are staggering. My repair at Greggs was less than half, maybe double of what it would be at a Mercedes service dept.

Awesome Vechile

A premium vehicle, expensive to maintain but well worth the investment.

This is our second MB and probably will not be our last. These vehicles are precision engineered and like any car have to be maintained. Repairs/parts are expensive but then one gets what they pay for. Luxury and reliability would be the key words that come to mind.
