Reliability sucks
Ram trucks Cummins reliability get a zero due to when something in the emissions system goes wrong the truck will not be drivable. It goes into a limp mode and there you are. Stuck in another state and have to tow or limp it for servicing at a dealership. Components that have failed on this truck: EGR valve assembly twice, Transmission shift solenoid pack once (Under 30,000 miles). And still gets stuck in 4th gear and won’t shift up or down occasionally, Front Wheel bearings completely blown out twice, High pressure fuel pump replace under recall and now has less power and worse fuel economy and is loud as heck, rear Wheel seeks failed and ruined the ebrake shoes, glitches in the infotainment system as it occasionally doesn’t boot up on startup.
That is the major issues but not the only I had with this truck. There are more. This is the second ram truck I’ve owned and both had similar issues. If Toyota made a one ton truck I would never own a ram, GM or a ford as all my Toyota vehicles have never had a major and rarely a minor issue and have never left me on the side of the road to be towed away. Ram..straight garbage!
