I took my car to Almar for two separate problems in the past few weeks. The first was a suspension se
rvice light. They ran the diagnostic, did some research, and told me the manufacturer had issued a special extended warranty for that problem. Kimberly suggested seeing if the dealer would do the work for free - and they did. Almar saved me who knows how much by taking an extra step and being upfront and honest!
The second was a separate suspension problem. I took the car back to them, they diagnosed the problem, and gave me an estimate. Kimberly again was upfront and honest. They could fix the problem that day with an OEM part, or if I waited another day they could get a generic part in and save me $500. My mama didn’t raise no dummy - I waited and saved.
Almar has my business forever. Cannot recommend this place enough!

There is a scam in which a South Charlotte Hyundai customer receives a very authentic-looking letter
claiming to be from the dealership. It will have exact information about your car, and is offering a "maintenance package" to protect you from the "high costs" of maintenance. It is signed " Ryan Davis, Vehicle Protection Coordinator, South Charlotte Hyundai.
If you call, they act the part well, aiming to get your credit card number. Don't fall for it. They reportedly will bill your card and yet you will never locate or reach them. The fraudsters could actually be anywhere in the world.
While the dealership sales people are very aware of this scam, trying to contact top management about it results in silence.Perhaps that is from legal advice?
Someone actually caught in the scam could report it, e.g., to the FTC or NC authorities. But advice from an attorney friend is change your credit card, seek credit from your card company, and block their communications.
