On Dec. 24 My wife and I were on our way to Newton for Christmas when a car accident on the MassPike
a few miles from Newton left us stranded 325 to 330 miles from home. Since we know no mechanics or repair shops in the area, our son reached out to Pleasant Car and Tire, which agreed to take the car for repair/storage until insurance was worked out, a process that took more than two weeks. During this time, Shawn, whom we have not met personally, maintained contact with us and the insurance adjustor. He was always available to answer our questions and took the time to discuss possible repairs and options while awaiting repair estimates. My original mechanic had advised that I replace my exhaust manifold. Unfortunately the original Mazda
exhaust manifold had been discontinued, and the aftermarket part did not fit my car. So here my car was sitting in another garage without the exhaust manifold and an emissions issue that needed to be fixed.
I made a few phone calls and Manh at Boston Muffler was the only technician who expressed confidence with being able to fix it.
Manh took the time to assess and explain how he would try to fix the issue.
Long story short, he was able to weld a flex pipe that no one else wanted to touch.
AND he did it with a 1-day turnaround time.
