We’re sorry to hear you were unhappy with your experience. At Cortez Car Care, we take all customer concerns seriously.

When you notified us of the damage to your vehicle upon pickup, we immediately inspected it and thoroughly reviewed the situation with all evidence available to us. Based on the nature, location, and angle of the damage, it is not consistent with anything that could have occurred during the services we provided. We also have a clearly posted policy in our office stating that we are not responsible for pre-existing or unrelated damages. However, when there is even a possibility that damage occurred while in our care, we have always taken full responsibility—as we did most recently just weeks ago when we paid for paint damage on a vehicle, despite it already having multiple cosmetic issues on the door in question.

In your case, you provided a video which you stated was taken on the day your vehicle was dropped off. However, the video does not show the damage that is present and very noticeable on your trunk, which raises valid concerns about the timeline and accuracy of that footage. This along with the evidence noted when inspected validates our initial decision that the damage did not occur by our fault.

We always strive to treat our customers fairly and with integrity. We understand that vehicle damage is upsetting, and we wish we could help in this case—but we stand by our assessment that the damage did not occur at our facility.
