Belt Fix
I trust the Hoffman crew's professionalism. Unfortunately, I Asked for an estimate Before the fixes, none was given. Also, replacing 2 belts costed over $200, due to a bolt breaking. I am satisfied, and appreciate the service, but bummed about the circumstances that led to the high cost.

We appreciate your honesty when responding to a review of our services. We read each review and make changes accordingly. The situation with the broken bolt is an unpredictable and unfortunate circumstance. We will be more attentive in the future with providing you with and estimate of repairs. In this situation we could have only estimated for the replacement of the belts and not the extraction or repair of the broken bolt because that is unpredictable and only repairable by time and material invested.

David said the problem was not fixed the first time, and he was charged double for diagnostics and labor. The prices were good overall, but he stated he felt he should not have been charged for the repeat diagnostic and labor. His parts were under $100, but the labor and diagnostics were $300.

The vehicle had two different problems. The customer was charged labor to repair the first problem. When the vehicle returned for a no start with a different problem the customer was charged our flat diagnostic charge and labor to repair that problem. The customer was not charged double for diagnostics or labor and the diagnostic fee was not $300.00.
