By selecting the option for aftermarket parts, you enabled the insurance to source parts nationwide, which has contributed to the delays. Performance Automotive has put in a considerable effort to uphold our commitments to quality, while also addressing your special request for one day turn around for a front end accident w/ insurance involved.... Initially, you asked for the car back on the same day, to which I agreed and promptly ordered all necessary parts from the dealer to expedite the job as quickly as possible. However, I underestimated the time required for the paintwork, which takes several days for the paint application and curing process to be completed adequately. Upon receiving the parts for a swift turnaround, I discovered that the insurance company is not even covering OUR costs as a business, leaving you potentially out of pocket by over $1,500!!! Not including your $500.00 deductible!!!. Despite this setback, we proceeded with the repair, covering $3,800 in parts with only a $500 deductible/deposit from you and no assistance from the insurance. I want to emphasize that this financial burden is not an issue for us, and I share this information so you understand the challenges we face behind the scenes in minimizing your out-of-pocket expenses.
Sorry that you felt we weren't firing on all cylinders, but we have to deal with insurance company's and their mode
is slow. And they also dictate where to buy or usually send their own parts. The time factor you expected, was due to the insurance company's quick response. Which it wasn't and that was explained to you. Have a great day sir. Carl
