I was told that I needed to put $4k into my Pilot.... Second opinion verified this false claim
I brought my Pilot in for an engine light to be checked out and to have an oil change done. My husband and I have ALWAYS put the $ into ANY recommended repairs for this vehicle during the 9 years at Honda Dealerships since we have owned it. The service professional came out and brought me a long list of things that were supposed to be wrong with my vehicle. Having this vehicle for almost 10 years, I called my husband to fill him in on the details. We decided to not do the work, besides the oil change and discuss our options, including getting a new car. I even went around and looked at cars that day and test drove one. Due to the amount of work that was supposedly needed done to our vehicle, this dealership said that they would only be able to offer us a very small trade in value. That is kind of a joke in itself.... It wouldn't cost the dealership, using their own employees $4k to do the work! So I brought our Pilot home and we took it to a local shop for a second opinion. This shop reported to us none of the two leaks that were supposedly there when the Pilot was at this Honda Dealership, Simms Honda in Burlington, Washington. Overall, the second opinion confirmed that we did indeed need to replace our front brake pads, for just under $600.... Other than that they said we were in good shape. I would NOT recommend this dealership if you are looking for a trustworthy experience!!!!

I can assure you I will get with the technician and adviser to review the RO.
