Love/Hate Relation

I love my car, but I feel that I received a bad car. Last Dec.transmission replaced. Still having problems, look up 2015 Chrysler 200, see all the bad reviews! Bad transmissions&Low resale. I am sad.

not enough leg room for tall people in the back. great car other than that

It is good on the road and with gas. Tire pressure fluctuate to much for me. My seat material is starting to tear so after 3 years that should not be happening. Had a problem with my sunroof but it is ok now.

First Chrysler I owned

The comfort of the seats with the multiple adjustable features are great! The steering wheel size, shape, angle, diameter and distance ratio with seat and petals make it very comfortable on my arms, wrists and hands. (Great ergonomics!) I love the wheel control buttons for phone and cruise control, however it is easy to hit the phone button by mistake. The car has an eye pleasing shape. Fairly roomy for a smaller car inside as far as leg room. The nine gears takes getting used to, as it does affect the car responses and way you drive. It does handle well with a comfortable ride. I like how the dash board set-up is easily seen through wheel opening with great information options. This options that I don’t declare for are several. The front window up/down buttons are automatic all the way up or down with one touch, requiring a second touch to stop where you want it. It’s quick, so can be difficult getting it to stop where you want it. Very frustrating and distracting when you are trying to drive!! The control panel actually has a dangerous set-up. The radio volume, air flow control, and drive gear control are all round knobs that are clustered very close together. The air control and drive gear knobs are the closest and are too similar in size. They are also located fairly low in the car requiring a significant glance downward off the road when driving to be sure you have the correct one till you get very familiar with the lay out. Even then you have to stay very aware. It is too easy to grab the wrong one, especially if your new to driving this vehicle or this type set-up. Nothing like trying to adjust your airflow and putting it into park instead while driving down the highway!! The touch screen for radio, air & heat, and other option at first looks like a great option. However, it can be as dangerous as trying to text while driving!!! Especially when trying to set your heating and air settings. There are at least 3 screens to go through to set your heat on the vent outlets you desire; And as you can’t feel for a memorized button (since the screen is flat) you have to have your eyes off the road long enough to find the one you want and make sure that’s where your finger touches. Just long enough to miss that vehicle pulling out in front of you, or child on a bike that comes out of nowhere. Scary. This is definitely NOT a good vehicle for an older person who’s mental reflexes have slowed down. Lastly, the headlights are terrible. They cut off quite low making it feel like they don’t reach out far enough unless you are on a flat road. They also don’t reach out to the side far enough, so that when you are making a turn on a very dark night, by the time you reach where you need to actually turn you can’t even see or make out the road you are turning onto (not even vaguely). It’s a very unsettling feeling. When I can afford it I will put fog lights on to help with this. These safety compromising features I mentioned are why I only gave this car a 2 rating. Safety is everything.

Nice with only having it for less then a week.

We have had it less then a week so it’s hard to really give feedback. Love the interior, exterior and the way it drives. Features inside are really nice and easy to work. Wish it was a little better on gas. Overall with only owingbit for a few days is good.

I love my car, it handles, rides comfortably and I love the gas mileage. It's a beautiful little car and I haven't had more compliments on it. One of the best cars I've ever owned. Candy Roberts

Great Car Ruined by Critics

For starters, I am a 21 year old college student in Ohio. I travel from Youngstown to Akron (100 miles round trip) throughout the week for week and frequently visit my family in southern PA (256 miles round trip) on the weekends. 90% of my driving is done on the highway / freeway. In May I purchased a previously leased 2015 Chrysler 200S with the 3.6 V6, 8.4 Uconnect Nav, and had 36k miles on it. Since then, I have driven 34k in just 6 months and have not had one issue with the vehicle. I made a trip from Pittsburgh PA all the way to Vegas and back (7k mile round trip) without a single hiccup. The V6 has great power and after the massive 2 week roadtrip, I averaged 30.7 MPG. The Uconnect system is amazing, the Garmin navigation is phenomenal, and the pleather of features this car comes with is insane. The seats have to be the best in the segment. They are extremely comfortable with countless adjustments to the lumbar and height. There were days on my trip where I spent 13-15 hours behind the wheel without an instance of fatigue. The transmission does take some getting used to and definitely have to learn how to modulate it. Unlike most cars, it is not very eager to learn driving styles. It requires smooth inputs and outputs to prevent from hard or abrupt shifts on occasion. With all the technology in my Chrysler, I have to say, nothing has broken or quit working yet. Everything operates as it should and the infotainment system is super easy to use and quick to respond. One recommendation I do have is to steer clear of the 4cyl multiair engine that is found on the Limited trim and others. It is known to have an astronomical amount of issues relating to the engine and transmission. The 3.6 Pentastar V6 is a fantastic motor that has proven reliability and longevity. All in all, don’t let the critics steer this car off your shopping list. I did my research and was hard pressed to find many good reviews about these cars, however, I drove one and loved it, and here we are 6 months and 34k later with not a gripe to be had. Also, you won’t find another midsize car that is this new, with this many advanced safety and tech features for the price. Used 2015’s are going for 12-18k dependent upon trim, options and miles. Truly they are a steal if you are looking for a comfortable, luxurious and fairly affordable commuter. Hope this review was helpful!

So Pleased with the model

I have owned Chryslers and Dodges over the past 43 years and I'm extremely impressed by the Chrysler 200. It has the feel of much larger car.

Great car!

It's a reliable car, my first brand new car purchase and I couldn't be happier! My biggest reason for buying it was for the luxury, comfortable plush interior and great safety ratings, at a great price.

Transmission has issues

Beautiful card inside and out! Too bad the 9 speed transmission has so many issues! My car has been in 4 times for transmission related issues and it has less than 30pm miles.

My view

I am very satisfied with 99% of my Chrysler 200 except for one thing. The bright lights do not shine out far or wide enough. I think it's because of the rounded head light design. Because a car is test drove during daylight hours I didn't know until I owned the vehicle.

Not bad, not great

Interior finishes and fabrics don't seem very high quality. Too many knobs and controls on center console. 9-speed transmission great on highway gas mileage, but seems very stuttery on start, stop, and quick slow-down and speed-up.
