This is an overrated crossover that just doesn’t handle well at all!

Genesis is one of the worst auto makers when it comes to fit and finish. Expect loose fitting parts and scratches on your GV70. Just an overall subpar effort and a purchase I’ll regret for some time to come. Avoid this vehicle.

My GV-70 is a Disappointment

My GV-70 has electrical/battery problems that have not been resolved. I never know when my car will or will not start. I have no confidence in the brand thus far. They have to earn my trust and my endorsement. New factory batteries are backordered. This is a common issue with the GV-70. Until this issue is resolved worldwide, I would spend my hard-earned dollars on another brand. If I am purchasing a "luxury" brand, I expect to be treated in a certain manner. When you go to an expensive "high class" restaurant, it isn't always the food that is at the top of the list. It is how you are treated, the ambience, if you are addressed appropriately, how the water tastes. Get my point?

Rattly when new and way too much stuff

This car isn't great, it's rattling from the start. Also, it has all the crap you don't need and the lacking what you do need. Will go back to BMW soon. Plus Genesis can't even get my name right. It's hard to find the feature you are looking for, the dash is messy. I hate the incompatibility with Apple, why do i have to plug in. Half the time apple play doesn't come up. And the most annoying thing is i have to turn off the auto start stop annoyance every time I get in the car - it makes me furious every time i forget and the stupid car turns off at the light. This car is totally overrated and not worth the money.

Very frustrated with this car!

I have been a Hyundai owner for over 20 years. Love the brand! Never had a problem with either car (Santa FE and Sonata). I was excited to purchase the Genesis GV70 (thus staying in the Hyundai company). We have had nothing but trouble with it from the day we brought it home! Very frustrating! I know they are great vehicles, just not this one! Heart breaking!

Great vehicle little help it purchase no help at service. Vehicle is very complex my dealer is not equipped mentally physically to service a high-end vehicle it is very disappointing to buy this really nice vehicle with a little help learning it even less help getting serviced. Genesis next too many promises at the company level that this dealer cannot deliver

It is not a lux brand yet

I have a Genesis G90 and am experiencing an audio problem. There is no sound inside at all, not even any alert sound. Driving without any alert sound (and without a signal sound as well) makes me feel unsafe. I have a warranty that covers it and I stopped by the dealer on June 27th, 2022. They told me it would take about 2 weeks to get the part, and I am still waiting for the part and it has been 2 months already. Now, they are saying they don't know when the part is coming (no ETA). I asked for a loaner car to drive until the part comes and they said "Yes", but I have been waiting for the loaner car for 3 weeks now. Genesis is a new brand of Hyundai which considers itself a luxury car maker, but its service is not there yet. They never make their promises. I can't believe they need more than 2 months to order their own part. They need to change if they want to be Genesis a luxury brand. I would NOT recommend Genesis to anyone who wants good service.

Not what I paid for

My vehicle is still not repaired after numerous complaints and I purchased it brand new off the showroom floor! Horrible experience ? I am currently seeking legal action regarding this purchase because the vehicle is not what was advertised and the problem has not been resolved after numerous attempts to get customer service support from checkered flag! I've been getting the runaround and still have not been advised of a solution to date!

Noise rattles are unacceptable

The noise and rattles coming from the interior rear of the vehicle are extremely annoying to the point I want to get rid of it. I took it to the dealer and they said this just the glass flexing which is insane. The noise is pronounced and if the music is not turned high completely unacceptable.

Horrible car

Please contact me and I will let you know what’s going on with this car. I should not have trouble from a new car not even a year after I bought it. Worst experience ever! I would never recommended this car to anyone. I am not the only person with these issues. Several reviews on Google.

Nice car but once you buy, you become invisable and they refuse to help. Just a lot of talk

Not a great company. They do not seem to stand behind their product because they have Hyundai people trying to deal with a higher end car and people who work there sell lower end cars and the 2 just don't mix well . I have been trying to get first oil change for over 6 months now but they are always to busy and are promised someone will call you back. Never happens. Been waiting over 6 months. I call every day

Hood problem

Hood does not align properly when closed. It is obviously a factor defect. I took it to dealer and they confirmed and documented the fact that there is a definite problem but said they could not fix it. This was two months ago and I am still waiting for options to resolve the problem.

Lemons are not just on trees

Vehicle met all expectations for 4870 miles and then became inoperable and dealer has not been able to repair. I m afraid i bought a lemon. Dealer had it for two weeks and did not address problem returned it to me and vehicle failed completely following day

Poor

Horrible experience with this vehicle. I want to be a future customer but this vehicle shown me a lot of work needs to be looked over on the builds and Material. I would love to be a part of the gv80 when it comes out but that’s a lot of work ahead to be thought up.

Disappointing Quality

Great looking vehicle but reliability was horrible. Had more miles on loaner vehicles. Didn't drive more than 10 mile radius from dealer for fear of getting stranded. Purchased vehicle to take extended trips to national parks, vacation property etc. Was only able to drive 2700 miles in 6 months it was at the dealer undriveable.

Dealership not ready

Genesis makes great stylish and feature loaded cars, but their dealership network is terrible. Service valet feels like a win on the surface, but that is only to keep you from going to the Hyundai dealership that will break your car and return it to you. Stay away until they sort this out—if they ever do.

AC broken after two years

Air conditioning has malfunctioned since 7/27/2023. I have contact Genesis since that day and has been told that there is no technician available to fix the AC until September. I was told that they are trying to escalate the issue, however, no progress has been made in the past 12 days. I live in Texas and has been driving my care with no AC. I have two young children and it has been the most unbearable experience. I am willing to pay out of pocket to get it fixed by an outside mechanic, but I was told by Genesis that my warranty will be voided if done so. I asked for a loner car but was told that none is available. I have had the most terrible experience with my Genesis. I have been getting the run-around. I strongly believe that this is the worst way to perform business. A promise was made to me when I purchased this car. Genesis is not able to stand by their commitment.

It’s been an unreliable and unsafe car

Unsafe car Car cuts out while driving. Decelerates constantly and makes it difficult to drive. Second repair car operated even worse. Poor customer service and no response from Case manager. It’s a bureaucratic system l.

Horrible customer service. The car doesn’t get fixed!

You need to help your customers because I make sure I tell everyone about the crappy service. Wish I would have stayed with my Lexus. I could have 100k miles and things would be taken care of better than if I had 100 miles on a new Genesis!

Unsafe vehicle

The suv cuts out on roadways and shuts off completely in traffic. Decelerating and accelerating without warning. I safe vehicle. At dealership for another three weeks without any communication. Corporate no help

Too many quality issues to give a good rating

This is a beautiful looking and driving car however the downside almost from day one multiple rattles from driver and passenger door and sunroof on the interior. Lane assist with the cruise control on the highway is extremely annoying because it bounces left and right left and right constantly to the point where it is best not to use assist. When at a traffic light sometimes the front sensor gives a warning and the video monitor turns on for no reason when the car is not moving. The latest problem is the trim around the windows of the doors are fading and looking horrible and this is a car that stays in the garage all day. This car is not parked outside in the sun making the car look horrible now.
