too much useless safety features. noticeable transmission shifting. difficult to find the spot where the door will stay open. dash screen is cumbersome. unnecessary tech. which is the reason we changed from Merc.

Mercedes , this car over exceed the class the drive and the field

As far as all clam glam of a car, I just don’t know except for maybe having the passenger seat have a massage chair would be an extra added benefit but when I’m driving my car, I love it, but I would love to have had the massage chair on the driver side also And I don’t think you have cool seats in the back cause I’ve never sat back there so I don’t know, but I love the cool seats in the front and the auto line assist hands-free driving that is amazing. I’m scared going by barricades so I just let it do the driving And it gets me through those scary parts.

Awesome vehicle, what I expected.

Flawless performance and zero repair history so far. Comfort is great, especially on long trips, which is very important for someone with back pain. Great purchase.

One drive in the Genesis GV80 convinced me to switch from a Mercedes!!

AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE NUMBER OF "10's" I HAVE GIVEN THE GENESIS GV80 THERE ISN'T MUCH ROOM FOR NEGATIVES...MY ONE NEGATIVE COMMENT IS NOT BEING ABLE TO TURN OFF THE 'CONSIDER TAKING A BREAK' ALERT!! I ESPECIALLY LIKE THE ABILITY TO CHANGE THE 'PERCEIVED ENGINE SOUND'!!!

Not-so-luxury

Now that I’ve driven the GV80, I’ve realized how much more I appreciate the craftsmanship and value of a German made automobile. This brand does not fall in the luxury category in my opinion. 3 trips to the dealership in 5 months for various reasons does not constitute reliability. The inability to perform automatic updates offsite is incredibly disappointing as every other brand I’ve owned has this capability. Burning through oil at only 6200 miles was also an unfortunate mishap that occurred at 5 months in. The size of tank coupled with the actual milage per gallon is not nearly as good as anticipated and advertised. While I will say that the service team is responsive when visiting, the frequency of which I’ve had to visit is uncalled for at this stage of ownership.

Nice but Has a Big Learning Curve

Nice vehicle overall. The buttons and lights on the steering wheel stopped working for almost a week and magically started working again. There are so many features and settings on this vehicle that it takes too much time and energy to learn and leverage them. It concerns me that this vehicle is so heavily reliant on computer software that it may continue to prove problematic/unreliable. Why doesn't the vehicle have wireless Apple CarPlay yet??? Wasn't happy to learn the Matte green paint requires handwashing and special care that is not practical for me to perform. If I knew these special requirements for the paint beforehand I would have picked a different gloss paint color.

In my second go with Genesis and the GV80, I am again pleased with quality, styling and power. Drawbacks are fuel mileage, premium fuel recommended, and no spare tire. In certain areas, getting service when you want it could also be of issue.

My Genesis GV 80 is Mostly Great

I love my new Genesis but there are a few things that I wish they would improve: 1) I wish that the garage door remote feature would stay on for a minute or two after turning the car off, as I always have to get out and hit the button at my door rather than in my car. I understand it’s a safety feature, but it’d be great if it would stay on for a short time after the ignition is turned odd; 2) I don’t understand why pictures come on the dash when I turn on my turn signals - they seem silly.

Loved it until the lift gate malfunction

I compared the 2025 GV80 to the equivalent from BMW, Lexus, Mercedes and Audi. After investigating each of them I came back to GV80. I love the look, the drive and all the great features and at a slightly lower price overall. I've been very excited about my purchase and have even started to sell my friends on the vehicle. I had one friend buy one already. Then, this past weekend the lift gate would not respond to any of the buttons to open it. The key fob, the interior release and the back wiper button would not respond. I took it in and after waiting 4 hours was told that there is a problem with the "module" and that they were on backorder for 2 to 4 weeks before they could fix it. Now I have a vehicle with no usable lift gate. This is extremely disappointing and inconvenient. I would have hoped that the dealer could have sourced a replacement "module" in better time but that doesn't seem to be the case. I have to say that my enthusiasm is waning greatly. If they could fix it promptly it would just be a minor inconvenience but now I have to wait no telling how long to get it fixed. There is not even a "failsafe" manual mechanism for me to open the lift gate so it is unusable. I want to be a "believer" that this vehicle and Genesis were the best choice I could have made but I'm starting to have my doubts. I love the vehicle and just want to enjoy it with my family but this is a big disappointment. If someone with authority at Genesis could help by stepping in to get this resolved, I would sincerely appreciate it and it would renew my enthusiasm for your product.

2025 Genesis GV80 - Impressive

I bought the 2025 Genesis GV80 Advanced 2.5. The exterior and interior design distinguishes this vehicle from its competitors. Smooth ride and the transmission is flawless. The turbo charged four cylinder has plenty of get up and go. With that being said, I am getting around 24 mpg city and 28+ mph hwy. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

The GV80 is best vehicle I have ever owned!

I have owned several luxury vehicles (most recently a German made SUV) and the Genesis GV80 ranks as the best, by far! Everything about the vehicle is first class, from the simple yet elegant interior, to the great looking and well designed exterior! High tech connectivity is easy to use and very intuitive. Best vehicle I have owned.
