Looks good, runs good but…..
I’ve owned the car for five years. It’s a great looking car, it has a good ride but these low profile tires are the absolute pits! Ok so at first I didn’t realize hitting a small pothole could destroy the tire. Learned the heard way, driving on I-95, could not avoid a hole and wham, the tire started deflating just as I got off the next exit. This is s long car, and is easy to rub the back passenger wheel against a curb which I do on a tight turn. Not hard mind you but viola…a bubble. Second tire. I started driving like a 95 year old with severe cataracts whenever I was on a bad road or anywhere near potholes but as of today, I just got my fifth new Continental Pro tire all due to road hazards. Bottom line, you MUST buy road hazard if you own this car and these 19” wheels with these very low tires. I have a GPS in the car, which I do like to use vs my phone as I find the phone a distraction and it’s pretty difficult to see the map and look at other ways to go on a tiny phone screen, not to mention how dangerous it is to keep looking at your phone….however Honda IS aware the GPS’s on this car does not operate properly. Just Google the problem. What’s hilarious is I’ve borrowed a friends smaller mobile GPS- both work on the SAME satellites…same directions. Guess what? The car gps becomes “ unavailable” at least 1-3 times on any ride I take regardless if there are trees, no trees, buildings, open fields…..while the $139 gps stays on. Honda suggests you restart the car? Sigh! Had it to the dealer several times - they reset it which doesn’t make a difference. So for most , this issue is moot, but just in case you need non mobile GPS ( yes there are places where your phone doesn’t work folks) don’t depend on this model.
