Good car with a major flaw

My 2006 Honda Civic has given good service. I like many of its features. I like the simple shift lever that moves back and forth smoothly without a lot of notches as so many cars have. I love the speedometer reading just below the windshield, which makes it easier to keep your eyes on the road. I like the simple radio setup with nobs for volume and tuning rather that buttons that you have to hold down My main complaint is the poor visibility to the left front due to the sharply raked windshield and the thicker than normal A column. One must be extremely careful when making a left turn, as the column can completely block out a pedestrian in a crosswalk. It is especially bad when driving a winding subdivision road, as again it can block out pedestrians and cyclists unless you really keep moving your head from side to side to clear the area behind the column. My 2004 Civic did not have this problem. I would hesitate to buy another Civic unless this problem is cured.

What a work horse- very dependable

Have had it since it was new in 2006. Been a great dependable vehicle. Had to have the front end almost completely rebuilt due to a collision, but still runs great, with 113K miles on it.

2006 Honda Civic

Very reliable. The visors have been replaced twice! Disappointing that Honda would use inferior visors; and sorely disappointed that Honda would replace inferior visors with inferior visors at owner's expense. Roof and window trim has deteriorated and is falling off. Indoor door trim on passenger side front is coming apart.

Honda Civic hybrid

Hybrids are not worth the money the battery eventually goes bad and it cost you several thousand dollars to replace it. Which could be a lot of gas money instead. Also let's not forget putting the old battery in the dump how does that help the environment. Next car will be a Honda Civic. No hybrid

Good Engine

This car has been reviewed by Scotty of you tube memphis tennessee. It really has excellent engine and can last till 250k and up. Although parts have to be replaced upon miles up. So far we have replaced its spark plug, starter, power steering set up, valve cover gasket, condenser, and its just 121k miles.

2006 Honda Civic

Comfortable ride, zippy response, very reliable. My first Civic and fourth Honda. It's about the size of my first Honda, which was a 1978 Accord hatchback. All good, reliable cars, all manual transmissions, and all fun to drive.

MY CIVIC

I love my Honda Civic! I have driven it over 125,000 miles back and forth to work for 10 years now and it still runs great. I have not had any major car repairs, but I do have it serviced regularly. It is a nice sound ride, no rattles or shakes. I feel protected even in its smallness.

the vehicle was not reliable or where it failed operationally. It gets reasonably efficient mileage. With Lynnwood Honda nearby and accessible, I am able to follow the maintenance schedule and thus keeep it in good condition.

Overall operation

The best car I have ever had virtually carefree, just do your regular maintenance and it keeps going like the energizer bunny.

2006 Honda Civic

I love my car. In the ten years I have owned the car, I am amazed how well it drives, how stylish it has remained and the gas mileage. I love my sunroof - like riding in a convertible without all the hassle.

2006 civic si coupe MT

I bought this car brand new. I love the body style, chassis, brakes and clutch. It is not a muscle car but, it gives those V6's a run for their money. I use it every day. Rain or shine or even blizzard. Very dependable car.

2006 Honda Civic

Pleased with how well it runs even at 11 years old. I used to get a new car every 5 years when I was still working as I put about 25,000 miles on each year and started to have major things going bad. But now with a HONDA - gives me better peace of mind with higher mileage and years on the car for my driving my almost 99 yr. old mother and 92 yr. old cousin for doctors appts. etc.

Love my Honda!

My Honda is 12 years old, and has always given me great service. I will definitely buy a Honda as my next car! I bought it used with only 12,000 miles on it and have not had any expensive repairs-just normal maintenance. It does great in the winter- always starts (except one time when my battery went bad) and does good in the snow.
