Dependable

I have owned since it was new. The maintenance is affordable, it has only broken down 1 time in 8 years. I knew it needed a new battery and put it off. It drives well in the snow it’s a heavy well built car and I always feel safe. I could use a deal on some paint touch up, that’s my only complaint.

its been a good dependable car

good dependable car small but roomy nice features low maintaince i dont really care that much for the low profile tires but got used to them. service has been very good.have had car since i bought new 2012. i like the wagon like design.

2012 Hyundai Elantra Touring

A great little car for my purposes. I wanted a small hatchback to carry items from the grocery store or hardware store. I wanted comfortable seats, cruise, tilt, air conditioning, adjustable seats, roof carrier racks, decent audio (XM, AM, FM, Aux, USB, etc), electric windows and outside rear view mirrors. This car meets those needs perfectly. The body is unusually tight and sturdy and all the fittings are very good. I used the Consumer Reports rating to estimate reliability and their ratings have been accurate - excellent reliability. On the down side, the engine/transmission combination seems to have been designed for the European market of backroads and seems optimized for a road speed of about 50mph. Holding 50mph in Texas, I have gotten as high as 31mpg, measured by miles driven divided by gallons added. At regular road speeds of 75mph, mileage drops to 27 on a good day. City driving is around 24 most of the time but can go as low as 22mpg when driving with summer ethanol mixtures. Dealer support has been very good with the maintenance staff taking an interest in making me happy with the car. Cannot complain about that. Overall, I am happy with the vehicle even with the few warts. I would like better mpg but my needs are mostly around town and not many miles per month so I can live with the mileage. The rest of the car, I love!

Love this care

Perfect vehicle for running errands around town. Big enough to carry what I need, small enough to fit in small car parking spaces. Great visibility all around. Gas mileage is just average, but that's a tradeoff for the good visibility - the more aerodynamic cars get better mileage, but the visibility is really poor. Since I just drive short distances in this car, it's a good tradeoff. And Hyundai makes reliable cars with an excellent warranty. Plus the dealer gives me great service and reasonable prices.

overall great vehicle - Just the right size with a solid ride, good handling, a lot of room and versatile cargo capability. Only negative is the rather stiff ride from the low profile tires - I will be changing tires (and wheels) to something a bit more comfort friendly when original tires need replacement .

2012 HYUNDAI ELANTRA WAGON

THIS CAR HANDLES GREAT, GETS VERY GOOD GAS MILEAGE, HAS NO BLIND SPOTS, GOOD PICKUP FOR A 4 CYLINDER CAR THE ONLY REASON I GIVE 4 STARS IS IT HAS STIFF SUSPENSION AND GIVES A "HARD" RIDE AS WELL AS THE SEATS ARE VERY HARD.

Overall great buy

This car has great cargo loading from rear for its class. Decent gas mileage. Fits 4 comfy. Even for long trip. Not the best for cabin noise, but tolerable on highway. Great sound system! Material is holding up. Plastic not bad, easy to clean. Lots of air bags. Couple recalls, nothing major. I almost want to dislike this car because all the sway bars went! But, 3 were covered, so really can't complain. Car heats up quick! Runs great. (knocking on wood)

2012 Hyundai Elantra Touring

I LOVE the cargo capacity of my 2012 Hyundai Elantra Touring wagon and everybody else in my family does, too. They're constantly borrowing it because they made poor decisions in purchasing their own cars. This is my 2nd Hyundai wagon and by the time I need another one, I hope they return to making them again!

Except for the racing wheels I love my car

When asked the day I was in the dealership what kind of car do I honestly love I said I loved station wagons, and low and behold here on a truck came a very small suv called a Elantra Touring or station wagon. I ended up buying it but I really did not want more payments on any car. I hated the racing wheels, they slender they always look like they need air in them, they cost a small fortune to get new ones and it took at least three sets of all four tires to get a foursome that didn't need air in them everytime ou blinked. I still have very good gas mileage for my 2012, I've kept the maintenance up on the car so if I had to sell it right now I would still get top dollar. My niece told me the other day she was checking out small SUV's as her car was giving her a lot of trouble and I told her about my car. She was very impressed and thanked me for being honest and up front with what the car was all about and that she would put it up their with several others she likes.

Great City Drive

I love the leg room and tight turn radius of my Elantra. It drives great in snow and rain. My only disappointment Trent is that the USB port is not compatible with my I-phone!! I was told by service tech that Hyundai and Apple have not worked it out! I am driving a 2012 so maybe that has changed. I love everything else about my car but honestly that feature would be a deal breaker for my next purchase.
