Missed it by that much
Hyundai got a lot of things right with the ionic 5. Native NACS, 800v architecture, capacitive steering wheel, retro styling, panoramic roof WITH shade, AWD, HUD, and great infotainment integration. However, some basic common sense things are lacking. The most glaring is the horrible driver assistance and safety features. As many have mentioned for a long time lane centering will shut off with no warning, even fully engaged it still wanders on around the lane. Also the motor for the auto-steer/lane centering is under powered and has an incredibly hard time with curves. Additionally the radar and camera system have a really hard time tracking leading vehicles. There is an eye tracking camera but no hands free driving, I probably wouldn't trust it though. The ultrasonic sensors don't seem to be programmed well and indicate that you are right on top of something well before you're near it or don't do anything until you've basically hit something. Storage is minimal and the center console storage is inadequate. The LED lights surprisingly do not light up the road well. You have to activate one pedal drivng everytime you start the car. I have a ford lightning as well and it drives assistance is way better and one pedal driving is always on once you set it. Fit and finish is ok, door panel rattles at 1000 miles.
