Towards the Top

For the most part we have been happy. The phone battery pad stopped working but Hyundai fixed it. Right now the Sun glass holder keeps falling down. It is small for a SUV. I love the style and driving ease to it.

2022 Hyundai Kona

Overall this vehicle is reliable and built well. The fuel economy is amazing on nearly flat roads and starts to decline on inclines. The car is pretty straight forward. The dealership closest to me had made the complimentary service quite confusing. First they gave me the wrong hours of operation for the service department. Then on another trip I was giving a chart with 4 different rows that made things confusing as I qualified in some but not others. The third trip I was outside of the 1000 mile range. Going soon to get the oil changed and inspected. Car is good dealership not good.

Good, reliable car

Good car for its value. I've been very happy with it. Not as sexy as my last car, a Jeep Wrangler. But I would definitely recommend it to anyone seeking a reliable, relatively inexpensive car in the future.

nav / display system is completely unreliable trash, battery, and alternator needed to be replaced in less than a year of purchase (NEW). Seats aren't very comfortable for long rides. Otherwise, I love the vehicle

Color

It was listed as teal in color but it’s way more blue , other then that I am satisfied with the car but time will tell on reliability , it is a fun car to drive , looks nice and is way easier to keep clean than a full size truck

Stylish small SUV

I bought this Kona new because I like the appearance and I wanted something small and fuel efficient. It gets great gas mileage, is easy to drive and park, but has very limited cargo space. Also, the navigation system on my 2013 Elantra was much better than this one, easier to see and use.

Just a good vehicle

If you want a vehicle, which (for me) is dependable at a good price. Take some time and try this one out. Just avoid Arapahoe dealership..go some where else--you may encounter a better buying experience. Though if you really like Arapahoe dealership, do what makes you happy.

2022 Kona N is a fun CUV

The 2022 Kona N is a fun performance compact suv/hatch that is great for commuting and also track capable from the manufacturer. It is essentially in a segment alone. Wish the Kona N had awd. The interior volumes are minimal with the rear seats up but with the rear seats down it offers additional utility.

I prefer my new Tucson already and the extra space for travel hockey is amazing. It fits my goalie and I in there well, but the Tucson does it even better. Loves this car. Was mad asshole totaled my car. Sued his ass.

Great Compact car for the price

For being a base model, it comes with great safety features, excellent on board navigation display and connectivity to my phone, just wish it was more comfortable in long drives and a bit better fuel economy

This Kona didn't meet expectations. The seats are not comfortable on long distance driving. I use a pillow for comfort. The seat belt chokes without a seat belt adapter. I bought an adapter. The lane change assist or whatever it's called, fights me going through construction and on narrow roads

Age is showing flaws

Performance is still great with the car, but ergonomics are not great. The infotainment center is good to a point, but it reset itself one day, and that made me lose confidence in the system. The wireless charging location causes the most grief because you can change the AC settings when you reach for your phone. Brakes were extremely loud for the first 8K miles

Great car except

I want to love this car but because of the super small back seat and tiny cargo area, I can't. If you have children this is not the car for you. There is barely enough room for a stroller. It's nice to drive but just too small for convenience. We could barely get two suitcases in there when we went on vaccation.

You cannot get any help from Hyundai’s customer service. Worst I have ever dealt with in my life. We buy new vehicles due to my husband’s job every 3 years. Do not want to ever have to deal with them again.

USB always has to be connected

It’s such an unfortunate that even though we paid over 40 K for this brand-new model, and still for using GPS phone has to be connected with USB. I believe that car shouldn't face this difficulty specially 2022 models.

good value for money

Its a Hyundai, price savings in exchange for some fit and finish, comfort issues. That's the deal. I have owned five Hyundai's. Same deal. My Kona fits right in there. Good performance, seems to be holding up well. seats are uncomfortable, so I bought an after market cushion. Road noise, wind noise about what you expect, too loud, so spend more for another car or live with it. My only real issue is the "software" side of things, the entire phone connectivity issues are well documented, and true. It is a huge pain. The so called "smart cruse control" isn't. I get this is a less expensive car. So either spend on the necessary engineering to do this sort of thing right, or leave it out.
