Great car still strong aged 2003. No mechanically issues. Though when driving the shifter tends to float. No sure if an issue however had no problems. The headlight bulb harness broke. The cost of replacement the entire is expensive. Made a short cut repair it works hold bulb in place. Just unable to adjust light upwards. Odd? Overall wonderful to drive. Probably last of a dying breed it’s a manual 5 speed.

Love my car
I love my 18 year old Mazda Protege5 and I'm not planning replacement. It is in great condition, was dealer maintained until last year, runs well and even the paint is still looking good. My daughter is on her second Mazda, we love the brand!

My Mazda is 17 years old. I bought it in 2003 brand new off the showroom floor. I love it. It is the best car I have ever had. I hope it continues to provide me with the
great driving experience it has the last 17 years for many more years to come. I'll keep driving it until it falls apart.

Best Car I've ever owned.
I've owned this car since 2003. It's now 2016 and I'm as happy with it as I was when I first purchased it. Nimble and reliable and a real gas sipper. Zero maintenance other than normal wear and tear.

Still Zoom Zooms after 12 years
I have log been amazed at the quality of this car. I've never had a major problem with it and the only work has been for normal servicing and wear and tear.
