Solid, SAFE car. Engine requires tuning and upkeep. But, when kept up, very reliable. For an older vehicle, it keeps it's traditional Volvo style, that i feel has been lost. Last year of built in Sweden, therefore truly European.

Classy Volvo
Classic styling, easy to operate. The Volvo S70 is a good value for the money. Sharp handling with luxury interior features. Just love the car and enjoy driving it. For the price there is no other car I would buy.

Best car I've ever owned. Travels well, make many trips to and from Michigan, Indy, W.Va., Scraton,Pa, and Ga. Never let me down in any weather. Gone through alot of snow storms and never stuck once.

This is actually a 1998 Volvo, and at 235000 miles, Barbara wants nothing more than to drive this car. The noise insulation is wearing a little thin, the automatic door locks don't always work, and there is some noise in the rear end, but she wants to drive this car until it dies on the side of the road and she walks away from it.

IT'S A BOX BUT DEPENDABLE, SAFE AND TROUBLE-FREE
Never had a car which can take a beating on milage, dents from rude drivers, klutzy urban parkers and don't give a damn valets. No mechanical or service surprises. Great auto for long-distance and handles various road conditions. Very comfortable ride. Passengers always comment on comfy wide seats. Very good trunk space. Excellent family auto. Excellent paint finish. Quibbles: my model doesn't allow rear side windows to open all the way. And the A/C isn't as robust as when I bought auto in 1999. My lower rating for features, styling & design is affected by age of vehicle---don't use cassette tapes anymore. Not a car for show. But it gets you where you need to be safely.
