Worst leasing experience

Appointment was made to pick up my car. I had to call my own insurance agent and hotline to set everything up when I got there bc these were not done when clearly it was supposed to be. My insurance agent already called me
HOURS prior to send these over to them. Sales did NOT know how to open files. I have pretty high patience but after 2 hours, I was livid. Had to wait over 2 hours. Waited FORVER for finance manager. I said from the BEGINNING my down payment will include my first month but lo & behold, they said it was not when it was time to sign AFTER WAITING TWO HOURS after dealing with insurance company to get insurances send my over & open files on MY OWN. No apologies. By then, I was so fed up I said whatever, just swipe my card so I can leave. Everyone walking by and just kept ignoring me even though I was visibly beyond frustrated. Sales was not familiar with car features. DIDNT even have carpeted floor mats, arent these STANDARD? Exterior has sticky dirty residue all over the place (I’m assuming from stickers). Seats were discombobulated.This is my 3rd lease from different companies & first time at Hyundai & the WORST experience I’ve ever had. I couldn’t even enjoy my car my first night driving. I just wanted to get home. I will not be leasing from Hyundai, or at least from this location again. 3 years cannot come fast enough.

Unfortunately the lack of supply and high demand has raised pricing beyond the Manufacturers suggested retail price. We wish things were "normal" where we would be selling 5x the amount of vehicles so that there would be no lack of incentives.

I really don’t have much to say. I understand we’re all under COVID protocols these days, so dealership comfort won’t be what it was. My experience with my local Hyundai dealership is nothing but positive, and has been for the past decade that I’ve been returning to it. I pretty much only deal with one salesman, and I’ve always been taking care of very well. And this current trip was no different. Got a 2020 Elantra at a good deal, so no complaints. And I’m sure I’ll return there for my next purchase.I would mention names, and location, but don’t know if it’s appropriate.

Friendly staff and fair test drive

I leased Hyundai Tucson 2020 from Star Hyundai. Staff was friendly and the sales person was kind and had great knowledge about the car. From test drive to signing a lease process was fairly easy.
Ang the car is great and well made.

However, I wanted a compact suv since I am a new driver and will be driving crowded city streets. I was recommended Tuscan considering my family size instead of Kona.

And the salesman was too busy to talk to me since he has phone calls and other customers so he was taking to me for 5 minutes and left for 15 minutes and came back. He did like that back and forth..
Also, the parking lot was very crampt so it was very hard to get a car out.

Since I am a newly driver, I mostly followed the salesman's advice and recommendations. He recommended a great car , which was Tucson.
But I still think that a smaller car would have been suitable for me considering a purpose of getting a car.

I do appreciate Mr..Seo for his kind service and please consider other factors too depends on how customers use their car
next time!

Ask for Tommy!

Best car dealer - we have EVER worked with!

We (my wife and I) have purchased three cars to date (2015, 2017, 2022) from Phillip Robinson at Star Hyundai in Bayside, New York. We have come to come to consider him our "car guy". Ya know . . . the way ya have your family Doctor, family Lawyer, etc. Well, Phillip is our "family car guy". Since our first purchase in 2015, we (as a family) would not consider buying a car from any other sales person at any other dealership. Period! To prove that fact, we have recommended Phillip to our daughter (who is now in her second Sonata) and two family friends, who both purchased new Hyundai SUV vehicles. Since then, they (our daughter and family friends) have recommended Philip to two other buyers, who have purchased used cars from him. So, to date, since our initial "sit down" with Phillip in August of 2015, he has "closed on" nine (9) Hyundai vehicles, based solely on his relationship with the Jayson family. The reason Phillip has become our "go to car guy" is that back in 0215 he won our trust - through his personal integrity, gracious personality, patience and "best-in-class" customer service, product knowledge and willingness to please his customers. We thank the Hyundai brand, and Star Hyundai of Bayside, NY - for having Phillip as manager of their sales team.
