Misdiagnosed my car could have cost me my transmission
I had my car towed 32 MI to this location. I told him that I had a transmission leak on a CVT transmission. I had already had it looked at but the transmission automotive place over here cannot work on CVT transmissions. After speaking with Nick he assured they would be able to help me. When he called me with the diagnosis to my car he said I need a valve cover gasket. I question him saying the oil was never low but the transmission fluid was extremely low are you sure it's a valve cover gasket. He said his mechanics went over the whole car and that's the only thing leaking. I agreed to have him fix the valve cover gasket if that's what was wrong with it. Even though they charge $80 more than most places. I go pick up my car the following Monday and I ask him again are you sure this fixed it there's no transmission fluid leaking he said it should be fine. I get this Smith station and I'm smelling burning so I pull over. I look under the car and there's transmission fluid pouring out. How can any decent mechanic not see transmission fluid pouring out at the rate it was coming out. That's just pure incompetence. I'm a female I can look under there and see a puddle forming and liquid leaking and I can smell it and tell it's transmission fluid. This place could have cost me the transmission in my vehicle because they misdiagnosed my car. So now I'm down $240 for a supposed valve gasket leak. So I got ripped off because they don't know what they're doing and yes I'm upset because I don't just give $240 away and do I trust them to take my car back to them. If you can't find a very large leak I cannot trust you anymore. Please do not get ripped off by these people they're money hungry they charge dealer prices yet they cannot fix dealer issues!!
