Tranmission died at only 104,000 miles
I work in a hospital and need a reliable car. Loved the handling of the MDX and supposedly a good quality car. I have had it faithfully serviced at a good Acura mechanic for the life of the car which I bought new. I don't beat up my car and live where there are no extremes of heat or cold. No warning - no smoke, grinding, leaking, clunking, jerking etc- car suddenly stuck in park with 'transmission failure' notice. Expensive repair and I had to seriously consider junking the car. Online searches turned up that prior years MDX had multiple transmission problems that supposedly are not an issue now. I don't think I will ever buy another Acura.
