X5 is the best SUV I've owned
I've owned more than a few pickups and SUV's over the years but the X5 by far is the most solid vehicle I have ever owned. The ride and handling are excellent. The fit and finish of the interior far exceeds that of many other manufacturers. And the Harmon Karmen audio system is top notch and well worth the money spent. I love diving it and owning it! My only criticism is the air conditioning system (why it didn't get 5 star rating) - it is not nearly powerful enough for such a large car. I've taken it into SD BMW many times and have complained that it is very weak on Max AC. They tested, said it is 'normal' and to 'close the back vents'. First off, I shouldn't have to do that as I may have passengers who enjoy AC, but when I'm alone, I do and it doesn't seem to make a difference. So, if AC is important to you (ie: live in the desert, valleys of LA, back country of SD) make sure you thoroughly check out the AC and compare it to the competitors. I'll bet theirs is better.
